"Pedro, the view, and the egg machine The hotel sits up a hill from the station — a genuine climb, and worth thinking hard about if you have bad knees. Which is exactly why the pickup matters: a phone at Wengen station dials the hotel direct (essential on a data-only eSIM with no voice service, as we were), and Pedro came down to meet us — friendly and hardworking. The pickup is complimentary; our next hotel charged CHF 20 for the same thing. It only runs from 8am though, so leaving earlier means paying for your own taxi. Staff are friendly throughout, though luggage storage is self-service and on the lower level — you carry your bags down yourself. When we struggled with the laundry machines someone helped straight away, and reception gave us the coins free. All our washing done in two hours. We ate on the patio facing the Jungfrau. Burger and mushroom soup were average; the view superb. Breakfast good, especially the chocolate milk and the soft-boiled-egg machine. One real complaint: the bed — we both woke with sore backs more than once."

"Excellent and peaceful location and has everything you would need. There was a bit of a smell of cabbages (assuming the drains), a sensor light in the entrance would be useful. As we have to pay a cleaning fee we shouldn’t have to empty the bin and bottles. English instructions for use of the tumble drier would be useful."

"This place was spectacular! The little balcony had a breathtaking view, the perfect place for tea and snacks. The washer and dryer worked perfectly. The kitchen was well stocked enough that we were easily able to prepare breakfast and dinner every day. The beds were super comfortable. The host responded to questions. It’s a great central location for local sights. Right on the bus line too!"

"This is the best view in Lauterbrunnen! The beds were quite comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped. Parking was very easy. Diane was quick to respond to any questions we had. Easy walk into town to catch the train or take a cable car. Lauterbrunnen has a Coop with a surprisingly large selection for the small size of the store. We truly loved the place!"
