And the so called onsen is basically just a bathtub in the yard. Hotel recommended us to a nearby sushi place for dinner and it’s nasty. The sushi maker took in cash bills by bare hands and went back to make sushi for us without even washing his hands. I would probably pay 1/3 or 1/2 of the prices for this place. It’s not a bad place. But it’s definitely not worth the price. 200USD/night max for the quality of the facilities and services. It’s awful that we paid close to 700 USD/ night for this. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I arrived in the evening and the staff was not there and would not respond to my messages. Thankfully, a group of older Japanese men were there and helped me get in, choose a bed and get set up for the night. They were great and led to a great Hostel culture. Comfy bed and clean. I would recommend, but make sure you check in early or I doubt the hostel owner will be of much help, unfortunately. Though I may have just been unlucky."
