We came to see the autumn colors and get away from the city and this was the best place to stay!!! Easy access to lake and beautiful views with a fire to stay warm. Hot tub was spacious and easy to use. House was cozy with plenty of room and an easy drive into Traverse City. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay - will definitely come back!!
We were invited to a wedding in traverse City and we chose this VRBO to stay at for the weekend and I couldn't be more happy with the coziness and location of this house. Everything was wonderful and I would definitely stay again or recommend my family to stay at this home. Thank you again for everything!
We stayed for the long weekend to ski at Crustal Mountain. About a 35min drive to the mountain. House was clean and had the basic needs to stay a weekend.
Hot tub was great, right outside the door and clean.
Bedrooms were great and haf plenty of room.
Overall wonderful stay
Property provided everything our family of 5 plus pet could have needed. It was a great base to relax in and play games and eat smores with the family, and then travel to Traverse City for activities and fun. Would consider again next year especially around Cherry Festival time.
We had a great stay on Dyer Lake. The property was huge with a lot of space to relax, 2 fire pits, including one right on the lake. There were 5 of us and a dog that loved it.
The house itself is cozy. It had everything we needed and a good amount of room. It would have been nice to have air conditioning as it was pretty hot during the day. Luckily it cooled down in the evenings. The location was great- very central to everything. Dyer Lake is a small, private lake with no motorboats, etc. Not a lot of fish, though we did catch some largemouth bass.
Overall, we loved the place and would like to return some time soon.
Overall very clean and extremely speedy communication. There were plenty of dishes for everyone, and the pond/small lake view is lovely. There’s a close market that is fantastic, consider getting a pizza on your way back from the wineries. There were just a few little things that kept this from a 5 star. - The main dining area light doesn’t function. During the evening we wanted to play games and had to pull over the floor lamp to see anything. Communication about it was very quick, but they already knew this was an issue and have failed to fix it. -The fireplace listed is a pelt fireplace without instructions on how to use, didn’t seem to turn on. - Previous people left wood at outdoor fireplace, which would have been nice to take advantage of, but there is no wood cover on the property, so everything was just wet. If you have a fire pit, consider having a covered wood storage.- Closet doors janky and difficult to open/close - Extremely hard memory foam mattresses- Have to pull the front door closed and HOLD otherwise the door lock doesn’t engage - Received extremely strict language on “quiet hours starting at 10pm” but the VERY close neighbors were blasting music until 11:45 pm.- Pretty early check out at 10am, we didn’t ask for a late check out, but if considering staying here keep that in mind - Tacky fridge magnet with what constitutes a 5 star stay. Tacky to request anything less than a 5 star stay to message only, instead of putting a straight review.
We had a wonderful stay! It was just a short drive outside of Traverse City in a quiet area of town. The house was clean, the kitchen had all the basics, and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub, and the kids loved the pool table. There was plenty of seating for our family to relax and watch TV. With all the snowfall, we especially appreciated the daily snowplow service and being able to park our vehicles in the garage.
We really enjoyed a Northern Michigan weekend while staying at this property. The house was clean and inviting, and the back yard gives that perfect Up North feeling with tons of space with a lakefront at the end. I really enjoyed the location, plenty of grocery and food options nearby and close to Downtown TC, but just far enough to keep you out of the hustle and bustle to relax. Would recommend this rental and I would stay here again!
Toured around Michigan state with a group of friends on our motorcycles. This place was our first stop coming Chicago and it was very fitting for us. The house welcomed us like home and we were able to quickly settle in and rest our tired and aching bodies from all day riding on the road. The setting was perfect. We have acres of privacy, front and back. We fired up the firepit in the backyard, chilled and relaxed with our food and drinks. As the night settled in, we continued our conversation on a well sized deck until we retired for the night.
Inside the house was warm and clean and accommodated everyone to sleep soundly and comfortably so that we are ready to hit the road again the next morning.
Our host was excellent and always have an open line of communication and respond very timely.
Overall, our entire group enjoyed the stay and this would be a spot for us to stay again if we do another tour of Michigan…
We are a group of 8 friends (4 couples) so the house was a bit tight for the kitchen / dining area. In addition, the pictures I did not realize that the 4th room option with a bed is in the basement next to the pool table so we used that room as a full bedroom, not really a hangout area so that couple could have their privacy. The house is near a neighbor that has a dog so know the dog will visit you (super friendly though), and the person next door was doing home work so you would hear nail guns, etc. The communication was not fast, so know that if you plan on having questions you will not get immediate responses (it took 2 days for the first set of questions) and then no response when I added comments for when we left. Overall it was nice, but I do not think we would go running back to the same place if we visit again.
