My husband had a work conference at the Grand Traverse Resort and we decided to turn it into a long-weekend in TC with our family of 5 and 2 dogs (kids aged 7-11). The location of this property was perfect - only about 8 min drive to downtown, 3-4 min to Toms grocery (even closer to Costco), and 8 min to the resort for his meetings. Plus, only a 3-4 min walk to the closest beach! It is right next to the airport, which worried me a little, but I really didn't notice any airplane noise. As mentioned by others, it is on a fairly busy road, but there is a large privacy fence in place which makes it so you can't even tell (other than a little road noise at busy times of the day). The house is right on a gorgeous little creek, with a beautiful view from the living room. Crystal clear water, and my kids had a great time watching the fish and ducks from the bridge & along the riverbank. The home itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. I appreciate the fact that they included lots of the little things that other properties make you buy on your own (paper towels, tissues, toilet paper, dog waste baggies, etc). They had easy access to several washer and drier units in the basement. Just a few small things that weren't deal breakers - the sliding door outside from the main bedroom was really hard to lock, and while the heating did work, we had to crank it way up to get the place to feel warm enough. But nothing that was really a big deal. Overall, a fantastic stay! ##### Marcy H.
