Dog Friendly - With Fee Welcome to Chandler's Charm! This adorable cottage lives up to it's name. Beautifully renovated with a huge deck overlooking beautiful all sports Chandler Lake. If you'd like to travel with your fur baby - we have recently become pet friendly. For an additional pet fee, you are able to bring one dog of 50 pounds or less. Please be sure to select "traveling with pets" to ensure the pet fee is added to your reservation - and tell me about your dog when you're booking. Take advantage of the awesome sunsets from the large windows in the cottage, the beautiful deck or the lower dock. Enjoy the abundant wildlife that you may see on the road or across the street in the township park. Chandler Lake is a great little lake without a lot of boat traffic. Excellent fishing for large mouth bass, blue gill, sunfish and pike. Great lake for kayaking, floating on rafts, paddle boarding, and hanging out on the sand bar. Enjoy the lake by kayak (2) included in rental. There's a sand bar part way across the lake that you can relax at. We've truly spent the extra time to create a great vacation get away - from the canoe paddle bed to the pendant lights made from reclaimed minnow buckets. The furnishings of the cottage will make you smile as soon as you walk in the door. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes/pots and pans you'll need for cooking meals - if you so desire. Comfortable beds - with new memory foam mattresses - will be waiting for you after your day on the lake or your day of exploring the beautiful Traverse City area. There is also a brand new mattress for the sofa bed in the living room. A new hot water heater and water softener will add to the pleasure of your stay. A new improvement for 2025 was the addition of a washer and dryer! Our guests have loved having that convenience. The updates and attention to detail will ensure that your have a great stay and make you want to return year after year! Among the many great things this property has to offer is the wide lot providing extra privacy for you to enjoy the peaceful lake and neighborhood. Directly across the quiet road is an 80 acre park with walking & biking trails, pavilion, small playground and restroom. A little further down the road is Grace McDonald Park with tennis courts/pickle ball courts, basketball, large playground, baseball diamond, expansive trails, grills and picnic tables. Had a great stay at Chandler’s Charm! Just a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere…and what a view! I wish I could upload some of the pics I took because I was lucky enough to get some pretty good shots of the scenery. There is a trail that starts a few doors down from the property that leads back to the park at the entrance to Chandler Road. I took the dog for a walk on the trail every morning, but it’s a fairly short hike…maybe a third to half a mile at most. Also took the kayaks out on the lake one day. It’s not a big lake - so that made it easy to see most of it (and a loon). Traverse City is close by - so there is plenty to do if you want to get away. We also took a trip to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes as it was only an hour away. The owner was very easy to work with and appreciate everything Sally did to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Very quiet neighborhood, with a nature trail a few houses down on other side of street that connects to the nearby park. We were there a week. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Convenient to Traverse City, groceries, and touring around the area. Plenty of dishes and cookware, but could use some wine glasses! Some big runner rugs and a large inside door mat are needed. We kept tracking in sand despite our best efforts and the rugs they had were not latex backed so slid around the floors. Small rugs by beside would be nice too, as the floors were very cold and sand still ended up in bed! One thing we missed having was a smart TV so that we could stream Netflix, Hulu etc. They have Direct TV, but like cable, there is little good content, unless you like religion and infomercials! We had some colder rainy days and it gets dark early in October, so would have been nice to have streaming TV. ##### Debra S.
