Everything you need. Stylishly decorated and comfortably furnished. Fully equipped kitchen, dining table for 4, kitchen counter seating, and private wrap-around patio with outdoor seating. The Space: The elevator takes you to the 3rd floor, where your private condo entrance is just steps away. Inside, the entryway leads to the master bedroom with a king bed and en-suite bathroom, as well as a guest bedroom with a queen bed and a second bathroom. The main living space opens up with natural light streaming through two walls of large windows, showcasing stunning views of the lake and sky. The area features a dining table for four, additional seating at the kitchen island, a TV, and a cozy gas fireplace—plenty of room for everyone to relax. Step easily out onto the patio to enjoy the outdoors. This penthouse offers 1,350 square feet of living space. TVs are equipped with streaming services only. \*\*NOTE ABOUT BOARDMAN LAKE: There is public access to this lake for small non-motorized boats only (kayaks, canoes, rowboats, small sailboats) on both ends of the lake. \*\*Swimming in Boardman Lake is not advised.\*\* Also at the north end there is a community sailing school and the entry to the Boardman River, that flows through downtown Traverse City and goes into the west arm of Grand Traverse Bay, of Lake Michigan. This makes for a wonderful paddle. Rentals are available at the south end of the lake, on South Airport Road. Assigned, free, covered parking spot for 1 car. ALL guests must be 25+ unless accompanied by a parent/guardian. Guest Access: For longer stays, all Golden Swan properties, and our lowest pricing, please find us at goldenswanmgt. The Neighborhood: The condo building is beside a railway line that operates a few times a month at most. It is walking distance to breweries, restaurants, and a community- owned food co-op and grocery store in the neighborhood. It's just a short bike ride or drive downtown to more restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and, of course, the magnificent Grand Traverse bays of Lake Michigan. The 5+ mile Boardman Lake Loop Trail circles the lake with a series of boardwalks, smooth asphalt - perfect for walking and biking. Other Things to Note: Please Note: All guests staying at this property must be 25 or older unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. This will be verified after booking confirmation. A damage waiver fee is required by Golden Swan for each stay. For this property, the fee is $69 and provides our guests with accidental damage coverage up to $600\. If the amount of damage exceeds this, or if the damage is found to have occurred with malicious intent, Golden Swan retains the right to seek damages beyond that amount. High chair and pack n play available upon request for an additional fee. There is a non-refundable credit card processing fee applied to all reservations. If the reservation is 14 days or longer there will be a required mid-stay clean. This is also available upon request for a shorter length of stay. Its located in a quiet and peaceful lakeside location just outside Traverse but with plenty of places to go and see nearby. The condo was well appointed and comfortable with great lighting and an open floor plan. We really enjoyed Traverse and can't wait to go back. We enjoyed walking on the trail, watching the rowers on the lake, and being minutes away from shops and dining downtown. The elevator worked fine and the excavation/construction in the area was not an issue during our stay. Our host, Katy, gave us all the info we needed to gain access to the condo, responded quickly to our questions, and gave detailed instructions for checkout, making the process easy. It is perfect for biking and walking around. We didn’t even move our car for days. The condo is new and has great views. The design is great but there are some craftsmanship issues around the condo (doors don’t close right, vents not screwed in, etc). Also, there are no window treatments in the main room or the bathrooms. We stayed at a discounted summer rate due to construction across the tracks, which made it a great value. This is the second time we've stayed at this property because it's absolutely perfect. There's a beautiful view over the lake, it's the perfect distance from the city where there's zero noise but it's a quick drive to anything you'd want. The place itself is wonderful. The couch is so cozy and perfect for napping and watching movies in front of the fireplace. The balcony is great for having breakfast while looking out over the lake. The bed felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The kitchen is modern and any time I thought "Oh I wish we had \_\_\_" my wife would end up finding one in a cupboard somewhere. It is stocked with everything you might need for your stay including pots/pans, towels, and even soap/shampoo in the showers. It's close enough to walk to downtown (about a mile) and there is also Right Brain and TC Distillery within a block. The only two downsides were the elevator was down when we were there and there wasn't an update on when it would be fixed so being on the 3rd floor wasn't fun for loading/unloading but that's not the fault of VRBO. Check-in time was more strict than any other place I have been and they ask for money for guaranteed early check-in. However, they were flexible and allowed us to get in a little more than an hour earlier, which we appreciated. It's a great place and I would definitely go back and stay!! ##### Michael L. It was very clean, and the kitchen was more well-provisioned than other rentals we’ve stayed. The patio views were very pretty although we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we’d like due to rainy weather most of the week. The location is one of the best parts of this property. We walked many places and downtown is less than a five minute drive (and close enough to walk if you’re up for it). We were notified of the construction outside the property which is well under way, but they didn’t work that frequently and it didn’t bother us at all. It doesn’t obscure the view, and our children were entertained by the excavators. We did feel like we had to spend a lot of time trying to keep our children (2 & 4) quiet due to the proximity of the neighbors, but I suppose that’s on us for booking a third floor unit. The place is clean and within walking distance to local attractions. It does get a little buggy since the place is right off the Boardman Lake but the view is amazing though.
