Beautiful Large House On Water Just 5 Miles To TC

Blue Shore is your perfect vacation home that sleeps up to 10 people. You will enjoy the large and open feel of this home styled in beach cottage chic but with today's modern amenities. Located just 5 miles from downtown Traverse City on Leelanau Peninsula, Blue Shore offers private waterfront, comfortable home with water views from almost every room, and amazing sunrises that you will remember for years to come!

Blue Shore is an expansive home perfect for large families, couples retreats or the girls/guys get away weekend with views of the bay from almost every room.

Right when you walk in, you are immediately greeted by a 2 story open concept with windows everywhere. The open feel extends into the kitchen, dining, and living room area all overlooking large doors that open to let the lake breeze in.

The kitchen has all amenities, including a double oven and granite counter tops. It opens directly to dining area that has a large table that can seat up to 12 people comfortably. Kitchen and dining area open to the living room that has a large couch perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views or watching TV on the 52 inch flat screen above the stone gas fireplace. Step outside on the decks overlooking West Bay to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or late night glass of wine.

Down the hall off the dining area is a full guest bathroom plus a laundry room with washer/dryer. 1st level also features a master bedroom with private bathroom, king bed and large doors with private deck to take in the water views. 2 additional bedrooms, 1 with queen & 1 with full beds, share a private jack and jill style bathroom.

2nd level has a large master bedroom with king bed, private bathroom and doors that open up to a private deck. Upper level has 2 living areas and large doors that open to let more fresh air in. This space is perfect for extra sleeping or kids' play area. It even features a wet bar! 2nd level also houses a dormer with 2 twin bunk beds for a total of 4 sleeping spaces.

Basement level has a large sitting area with a TV, another full kitchen and another full bathroom with sauna (sauna is currently not operational due to Covid 19 cleaning standards). It is perfect not have to run up and downstairs to main area all day as it has large doors that open right outside to your own private water frontage. We just opened up the wine cellar with a large table to enjoy intimate dinners and wine tasting.

With water levels high there is no sandy beach area or an area to walk down to without the dock installed but you can still view the lake from the decks. Launch your kayaks or paddle boards from the dock or enjoy the sitting area to watch boats drive by. Please note, you cannot tie a boat to dock unsupervised or overnight. You can only use to load/unload only and we cannot guarantee that the dock configuration or water levels will allow you to do that as they are inconsistent. Dock is removed from mid-September through mid/late May due to winter weather; otherwise it should be ready for your enjoyment.

Blue Shore is the ideal 'Up North' retreat. Not only can you enjoy your own private beach but her location is perfect for day trips....go wine tasting, explore Suttons Bay, check out the Dunes, golf or ski-depending on the time of year, shop downtown Traverse City, drive along the famous M22, and so much, MUCH more!

Any violation of these ordinances the guest recognizes that they are liable for violations and could be ticketed. In addition, guests would lose their security deposit.

What a beautiful home and location! The space was perfect for our ladies’ trip. The sunrise was spectacular as we sat on the deck looking over the water. This home was inviting, spacious and we couldn’t have found a better location. We enjoyed every inch of this home, the comfort of the rooms - the sauna - the view - the kitchen was well stocked as well! The hosts were quick to answer if we had any questions. Looking forward to coming back and this home will be first on our list to stay!

Winter Retreat

We stayed over New Years weekend and had a lovely time. The house is comfortable for families with a beautiful view of the water. The location was perfect, close to the downtown, skiing, wineries, hiking.

Great location

Perfect place for a family gathering and wonderful sunrises! Well stocked kitchen for cooking and enjoying dinners together. Would consider booking again next time visiting Traverse City.

Beautiful home for family vacation

Perfect location to enjoy the water, wineries and restaurants. You can rent a boat just down the street and just below the deck is a sandy pad where the children can play and swim in the water. Comfortable beds and sofas. Would rent here again!

September Friends Weekend

We really enjoyed our stay at the property and have already booked again for our trip next year. The house is well maintained, clean and the property owner had great communication. The house was perfect for our adult 3 couple weekend getaway to each have our own bed and bath, but have central areas to hangout together or on the patio. If we had kids with us, there is a great area upstairs for the kids too.

Family of the Bride

Such a beautiful stay for my sisters wedding weekend! My family (husband, 5 year old, 2 year old, and babysitter) all used the upstairs loft area as our home away and then my parents and grandparents had the downstairs. So much space for all of us and it even provided a beautiful location for the bridal party to get ready and take pictures. The views were stunning. Definitely would consider staying here again.

Beautiful home right on the Bay

This was our second time staying at this beautiful home. It was just as nice the second time around. Lots of space for everyone to spread out and relax. We really enjoyed our time here. Very close to downtown and right on the water. Awesome.

Amazing Weekend

We stayed at both the cabins and the main house for my wife's 40th birthday weekend this was the perfect place for it, our 17 friends and family had plenty of space to congregate but also be alone when needed. The amazing views, decks and spaces are fantastic. Best property ever.

Absolutely amazing!

This house was so perfect. Located right on the bay, the views were spectacular! We were in Traverse City for our daughter’s wedding. This house so so perfect for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready for the big day. The outdoor spaces were so relaxing. This house is very well appointed with everything you need. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Great house with lots of room

A group of ladies gathered and worked remotely for a few days together. This house had the space and was in a great location for evening dinners. The beach front made for a wonderful sunrise.

Family Getaway in TC

Unit had not been cleaned upon our arrival but owner was quick to respond, apologetic, remedied the cleaning problem and even offered to comp our dinner at a restaurant that evening which I declined. It was a perfect venue for an extended family with small children. Took great photos of the northern lights over the bay and my 34 year old daughter and her husband took a cold plunges in the lake after using the sauna.

Family vaca 2024

Our stay here was a part of a family vacation with our kids and grandchildren. This house had a great split bedroom layout for our multigenerational family. Multiple master bedrooms were a plus. The location was wonderful and the house had fabulous views. The house was reasonable close to multiple destinations and had great water views. As early risers my daughter and I enjoyed great sunrise views each morning.

Perfect wedding weekend location

My daughter was married at Gallagher Farms and I was able to accommodate my children and grandchildren in a convenient location. It was well appointed for hosting the grandkids in the bunkroom! My granddaughter really enjoyed the dollhouse and other toys❤️. The beach was also wonderful to have for entertaining the kids! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Been coming to TC for a family vacation for over 25 years. Started at a hotel and then a condo. We outgrew that so this year we stayed here. It was perfect. Enough space not to be crowded. Great view of the bay !!

Wine and views

We had a couples wine weekend and there was plenty of bedrooms for everyone and the views were breathtaking! It’s a place for togetherness, very comfortable, definitely special to have everyone around the wine room table and dining table alike. It does need a larger coffee maker for its many guest.

Cozy and nicely situated

We stayed here with our three kids (14, 12, and 9), in-laws, and my parents for a family vacation. The house provided a great launching off point for the area and easy access to downtown (even with construction). All of us enjoyed the gorgeous views and spent LOTS of time by the water. The hosts are highly responsive and were a great help in suggesting a company for kayak rentals, which we were able to have delivered right to the dock out back. The house could use some cosmetic updates but overall it is extremely comfortable and has an excellent layout. I highly recommend this one and would consider renting again.

Family vacation

Location perfect, beautiful view, comfortable, plenty of space for 10 people. Well stocked with kitchen dishes and towels etc. Dock was perfect for launching kayaks and for loading/unloading the boat we rented for a day. Although we read the house would be supplied with some products we ran out of paper towels, garbage bags and laundry detergent and had to purchase them for our stay. FYI - there is a dead mouse in one of the drawers in the kitchen of the lower level.

Beautiful lake views

My family stayed here and we loved being right on the water. Beautiful to wake up to and hear the waves of the lake. It was very close to go into the town for day trips. One down side was the fruit flies in the house, we didn’t know they were an issue in the area this time of year. the owners notified us when we arrived for our stay that they were going to be in and around property. we had quite a lot in the house despite doing what we could to keep them away. The house is a bit older but overall a great space plenty of room and had everything you needed for a vacation. Owners were also quickly responsive to us when an issue came up with the water and fixed it that night.

Wedding Weekend

We enjoyed our weekend on the bay. Arriving on Friday, we moved in, made dinner, and cracked open a bottle of wine to begin the wedding weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay- from the firepit to the winetasting room, the decks to the dock. In the morning - a cup of coffee, sunrise, and yoga on the pier was the perfect way to start the day. The bedrooms were large and had plenty of room to settle in and hang up our clothes for the wedding we all came to attend. There was plenty of hot water for 9 adults to shower and the washer/dryer/iron was very convenient too. With 2 refrigerators we had plenty of room for our pre-preped food - the pantry was a great place to store all our dry goods and treats. The big kitchen table was the center of our visit - we ate meals, prepped flowers, and wrapped presents. The parking was a tight fit for us as we 7 cars - but, we made it work. Our new - extended family stayed next door at the cabins - it was fun to be so close and visit over the campfire. Our wedding weekend to a whirlwind of activity -with a tall ship cruise, and visits to nail salons, shops, specialty food stores, and a winery. We did some beach combing, swimming, floating, sunning, and relaxing the day after the wedding. This house was such a great fit for our family on this special weekend.
