"We had a great stay! Our room was huge, clean, and comfortable. The pool area looked very nice, although we didn’t get a chance to use it this time. The continental breakfast was good and had plenty of options. We’ll definitely be back!"

"We booked to get out in nature and unwind. This property checked the boxes. It’s something different and location was great. There are a lot additional fees that drive the cost up. While it was nice to feel secluded away from people, the porta potty was from the 80s and pretty gross. We would have had more room in a tent and would have been much cheaper."

"Country cabin that is peaceful and quiet. My wife and I usually stay in a motel in Decorah, but I thought we try this cabin out and see what it was like. We hiked down to the stream and the trout were very active. There were 5 turkeys out in the field and we enjoyed seeing them. Just a close drive to Seed Savers Exchange (My wife likes to garden). Driving to town was another short drive to get to great places to eat. The cabin is air conditioned and was very comfortable. I would recommend highly staying here. I don't think you'll regret it."

"The house was immaculate and the host even left scotcharoos! The house was perfect for a nice little get away to Decorah, just far enough away for peace and quiet but made for easy travel to the locations we were looking for. The layout was perfect for our group of 8 with kids to make themselves right at home."

"Thank you for being such a fabulous host. The Shouse was just what we needed. We stayed the weekend while we moved our son for college. The peace and quiet was amazing. The kitchen was perfect to whip up a quick breakfast before we headed out for the day. Huge selection of flavored coffee. I don’t know what I loved more the huge retro couch (the chaise side was my favorite) then waterfall shower or the fireflies. We will definitely be back!"
