"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dolly's Place. Extremely simple check-in. Five 77 year old ladies stayed there for homecoming for 3 nights and found it very clean, beautifully updated, and very comfortable with adequate seating in dining and living rooms for social time. You'll find everything you need in the kitchen from good fry pans to pen and pencil. Good lighting - one of my pet peeves is bathrooms and living areas that are poorly lit and I'm happy to say that's not the case here. Weather was grand, so we enjoyed the comfortable back deck a couple of times. The location was a plus as we were able to walk downtown for some of our meals and shopping and we took a nice walk through the historical district. Grocery store a block away. Adequate parking. Quiet setting. Two full bathrooms with plenty towels in each room plus extras. Lots of pillows in the bedrooms. If you are traveling with older folks, know that the steps to upstairs are narrow, but there's a good railing. The one member of our group who is unsteady and uses a cane was able to maneuver them okay, and she took the one downstairs bedroom so that worked out well. We helped her on the front steps (no railing there and normally none would be needed). We all said we'd stay there again. The owner is very accessible if anything is needed."

"My college friends and I stayed here for our 25th Luther reunion weekend. This home is AMAZING. Very clean, beautifully decorated, amazing location one block off Water Street. It is huge, with plenty of beds and many different gathering areas to hang out. The host was very helpful and communication was excellent. Truly a 5-star experience."

"Fantastic location! Having an entrance to Water Street was very convenient! The weather was rainy and didn't allow us outside that much. However, we didn't have to wonder what to do. We played pool and used the cards/games. The open space for the kitchen/living room was great to for talking. If we would have booked a hotel room we would have either been cramped in the room or have to find somewhere to go (which would've cost more money). We loved having the garage for our vehicle and appreciated the washer/dryer for our hiking clothes. Two nice size bedrooms and both had a bathroom connected to it."

"Clean and well kept property. Odd layout for larger group in that bathrooms are only accessible via 2 bedrooms. We did not really use the kitchen, but it appeared well stocked. It is obvious the owners take pride in the property. It's a great place, depending on your purpose and needs."

"Cute space, great location. Photos were outdated (loft has been removed and bunk beds are now there instead). Stairs and bathroom had a cigarette smoke smell like neighbors smoke or used to smoke inside."

"The location couldn't be better - we were right by numerous eating and shopping establishments. Our favorite was Magpie Cafe & Coffeehouse. The beds and pillows in the room were super comfortable and clean. There was a small kitchen and dining area too. The only downside was some steep stairs going up to the apartment, typically found in older buildings."
