There is a good amount of moms/pops restaurants in the vicinity as well as a really nice neighborhood market that has everything. It has everything needed for a long stay. On a side note, I would advise drying items on a line versus using a dryer in case you are used to a reg. American standard dryer. We were provided with detergent and softener, soap, shampoo, etc. Kitchen towels and papertowels were provided upon request. The TV has netflix, etc. We were guided on how to switch the TV interface to English upon our request. The host was in touch with us as needed even late at night. The location was an easy walk to Hirai station, restaurants, and stores. We have runners in our family, so it was a quick and convenient walk to access the Arakawa River Trail for running.
