"Excellent Disney Partner Hotel"
Family of 5 whom stayed 3 nights to go to Disney. Large rooms that may accommodate up to 6 very comfortably. Good breakfast buffet (2 options) and really included (no extra surprise fees for party size or kids age). Free shuttle to both Disney parks. Not exactly downtown if you are visiting Tokyo but still just some 15 min away on JR line and the train station is just a pathway across to the hotel. 5th floor where we stayed needed some refurbishing but carpets were being replaced so it is being taken care of. A few restaurants in the shopping malls nearby.

"Art Deco Hotel - Great if you want what you get"
I would recommend staying here if you are interested in Art Deco, Tokyo's 20th century past, or just an interesting experience. I stayed here because it has a beautiful Art Deco exterior, and was (is?) a hangout for the literati of Tokyo. The hotel interior gives the impression of being a bit tired. But that is because it is all from the 1950s (?). My room was comfortable; but a bit dowdy. The area around the hotel has many trees. It was a novel experience to wake up in Tokyo to the sound of birdsong! At night I was lulled to sleep by someone playing jazz in the Meiji University dorms adjacent to the hotel. Don't stay in the annex; nothing to recommend it. I'm not sure that I would stay here if you are just coming for tourism and want a modern affordable hotel. If you are coming to Tokyo on the Narita Express, get off at Tokyo station, and change to the Chuo JR line. Go to Ochanomizu (Water for Tea...nice name!). Go out of the station at the Meiji University side. The hotel is 10 minutes walk. It's a hilly area (hence name of hotel). It's an easier walk if you go past the Kandasurugadai post office, and take a left. Have a look at the map inside the station before you exit. This is a great area. There are many used book stores, some of which specialize in European languages. Also many musical instrument stores. Since it is a university area, there are many cheap restaurants; Japanese,Indian, Thai, Chinese, and hamburgers. There are also many bars and coffee houses.

"Nice room with an amazing view of tokyo tower!"
The room is kind of small but that is quite standard for tokyo, the place to pick up your keys can be difficult to find as google maps doesn't go to the correct location. Apart from that, the location and facilities in the room were fantastic the underground is a couple of minutes away, bakeries and restaurants galore. A lot of the popular districts are just a few shops away such as shibuya and shinjuku. Can't fault this place.

"Excellent location"
Pros and cons. Pros: Excellent location - close to metro station and city center. Very nice and helpful staff. Clean, quiet and renovated rooms. Cons: Rooms are super small. This is something normal for Japan, so be prepared. We did not get a breakfast although we we expecting to have one.
