Norman by the River - SAUNA Retreat by OFSC Trails
Welcome to Norman by the River—your Nordic-inspired escape built for comfort and connection. Enjoy a full-body reset with the private 8-person SAÜNA, cool off in the DIY cold plunge deck (summer months only), and gather around the backyard firepit. With direct snowmobile trail access, a fully equipped kitchen, high-speed Wi-Fi, ample parking, and cozy shared spaces, it's the perfect retreat for work crews, families, or wellness-focused getaways.
The Space Norman by the River is a bright and airy space filled with natural light. The main floor includes two bedrooms with queen beds, a cozy living area with a leather couch, cozy chairs, and a 45" smart TV, plus a full kitchen with dining area and dishwasher. The spacious entryway offers generous storage, and the bathroom features a large rainfall shower. Guests also have access to a separate laundry room and a quaint loft space via a staircase in the second bedroom.
Outdoors, enjoy your own Nordic-inspired retreat: a newly installed electric SAÜNA, a DIY cold plunge deck in the summer (or roll in the snow in the winter), and a firepit area for winding down under the stars. Just fill the plunge tub with the hose, grab a few bags of ice if you’re brave, and your cold therapy session is ready to go. Pour water on the sauna rocks and soak in the cedar steam—it’s the perfect way to reset after a day on the trails or a hard day’s work.
Located just 100m from the OFSC snowmobile trail and featuring a fully fenced backyard, this home is ideal for work crews, families and wellness seekers alike.

The property is beautiful, clean and well appointed. We started to relax the minute that we entered the home. This property felt like our home away from home. Most hotels that offer “pet friendly” rooms are cringe worthy. This home puts them all to shame. Our shih Tzu loved having a place to roam. Far better than a hotel!
Chantal was an absolutely amazing host for our six night Stay at her beautiful home in Timmins. My family and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the entire layout of the home, the yard was big enough to let my 3 month old puppy run around in circles. It was absolutely perfect for our pups. The backyard also had a sauna and a cold tub. All The beds were comfortable! And if I had any questions, she was always quick to reply! I can’t thank Chantal enough! Super host and beautiful home!
Overall a very quiet neighborhood. We found out that there was not that much to do in Timmins itself so we ventured out to Cochrane. We visited the Polar Bear Habitat and the museum over there. We walked two trails in the city.
