The best area to stay in Tiana is within the historic village centre, particularly around Piazza del Popolo.

This central area is the heart of Tiana, offering a glimpse into traditional Sardinian life. You'll find charming, narrow streets, stone houses, and local shops. The Piazza del Popolo is a natural gathering spot, often hosting local events and providing easy access to the village's amenities.

For couples looking for a tranquil and authentic experience, staying in the historic centre is ideal. It provides a peaceful base to explore the village on foot, discover local crafts, and enjoy traditional Sardinian cuisine at the family-run trattorias. The slower pace of life here is superb for a relaxing getaway.

Families might also find the village centre appealing, especially if they appreciate a quiet environment and want to experience local culture. The compact nature of the village means children can explore safely, and there are often small, local playgrounds or open spaces nearby.

The best time to go to Tiana is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and early October.

These months offer pleasant weather with warm temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding natural beauty and enjoying outdoor activities. The local festivals, particularly those in September and October, celebrate Tiana's traditions and provide a wonderful insight into Sardinian culture.

For couples looking for a romantic getaway, late May and early June are perfect. The countryside is lush, the days are long, and you can enjoy peaceful walks and local cuisine without the bustling summer crowds. The mild evenings are lovely for dining outdoors.
