When is the best time to go to Thunderbolt?

The best time to visit Thunderbolt is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is most pleasant for exploring. During spring, the temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 18°C to 25°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities like strolling along the waterfront or visiting nearby Savannah. The local flora is in full bloom, adding to the area's appeal. This period is particularly good for couples looking for a romantic getaway with comfortable conditions for dining alfresco and enjoying scenic walks. Autumn also offers excellent weather, with temperatures similar to spring, usually between 20°C and 27°C. The humidity is lower, and there's less chance of heavy rain, providing clear skies great for sightseeing. Families often find autumn a great time to visit, as the cooler weather is more comfortable for children to explore the parks and historic sites without the intense summer heat. While summer (June to August) can be hot and humid, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C, it's a popular time for those who enjoy water activities. Winter (December to February) is generally mild but can be chilly, with average temperatures around 10°C to 15°C, and some days can be quite cool.

Top Thunderbolt Hotel Reviews

Hyatt Regency Savannah

8/10 Good

"Over all a great stay, have been here before. They have a problem with their contract parking valet service. The automated notification system is either not being sent to the valet's or they are ignoring it. They tell you at check in you should expect an 8-10 wait from calling to delivery. That never happened, the valets were not aware of our request, they were disorganized and confused. On one occasion I talked with 4 different valets before they brought the car. At no time was the wait less than 20 minutes, even when we were the only ones waiting. The Bellhop that brought our luggage down admitted it was an ongoing problem that management knew about, but did nothing to correct. At $65/day to park, I expect better."
