This was a good place to stay to visit Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake. It is well located as a central place to sleep. The place was clean and everything functioned well. It was tastefully decorated, albeit all grey and black. Bed was comfortable. You have no access to any outdoor space, so plan on getting you “outside time” elsewhere.

The Thorold Blue Door Adventure

The upper apt was comfortable, clean, spacious and close to all places to must see and do. It was a home away from home.

Check in was easy. Location is great. Host was accessible. There was soap, hairdryer, super fluffy towels, coffee… and fantastic air conditioning. Truly everything you would need. Place is quite lovely and it’s a nice space. There was ,however, a very strong air freshener smell in the living room when I arrived, which was over powering. There was also an odd smell in the bedroom, and I got quite stuffed up in there. By the time I left I realized it was dog smell. I knew they accommodated guests with dogs…. So really it’s no surprise. Just be aware going in. If you’re not a dog person or have an allergies to dogs, this may not be the right place for you. A few odd hairs found in the shower and on the sheets… but that could just be a static cling issue. Nothing I couldn’t take care of. All in all my stay was pleasant. If you are traveling with dogs…THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!! They even have dog biscuits.😊

Our one night stay was as expected. The property was centrally located which was wonderful. The Blue door (the one we chose) is only accessible by stairway. The host was on point and very friendly. Thank you Mike & Tanya!

Staying at the blue door was exceptional! The apartment was clean, cozy and had all the comforts of home. My dogs loved it as well. We will definitely book again ! Mike and Tanya are the best .

less than ideal

I was booked to stay in the blue door but the owner double booked the accommodation and I was moved into red door which was smaller and not set up for longer accommodations (I had rented the room for a month). Basic supplies were missing. There was pet hair and dust on the floor but otherwise clean. I think this place would be fine if if you were staying for weekend
