Port Lincoln Attractions

Located on the picturesque Eyre Peninsula, Port Lincoln is a small town with a lot to offer. The self-proclaimed ‘Seafood Capital of Australia’, Port Lincoln offers easy access to a number of beautiful beaches and stunning landscapes. The town boasts a wide choice of activities including fishing, hiking, swimming and diving. Get close to the town’s marine inhabitants by swimming with tuna or, if you’re feeling brave, you can even go cage diving with great white sharks. Port Lincoln itself offers an excellent choice of restaurants as well as lively bars and a pretty waterfront.

Port Lincoln – With a great choice of waterside pubs and eateries, a pretty foreshore and an energetic feel, Port Lincoln is a great place for an al fresco meal or evening drink. A variety of aquatic activities can be found in the local area including fishing, boat rides, kite surfing and stand up paddle boarding.

Lincoln National Park – Covering a huge swathe of countryside just outside Port Lincoln, the Lincoln National Park takes in stunning beaches, arid sand dunes and picturesque islands. Activities on offer in the park include walking, scuba diving, 4x4 safaris, swimming and fishing.

Coffin Bay National Park – Like Lincoln National Park, Coffin Bay takes in pristine beaches, rare plants and animals and spectacular views. Known for its wild ponies, white-bellied sea eagles and ospreys, the parks is a great place to get close to nature. Other activities in Coffin Bay include surfing, swimming and snorkelling.

Kellidie Bay Conservation Park – Located close to Coffin Bay on the Eyre Peninsula, Kellidie Bay Conservation area is a great place to get close to nature and experience Australia’s wilder side.

If you’re interested in Port Lincoln’s history and heritage, there are a number of sights to see during your stay. In the town itself, you can find a choice of heritage buildings including the Port Lincoln Railway Station, the Port Lincoln Police Station and Courthouse and the Old Mill Lookout. The grassy foreshore is worth seeing during your time in Port Lincoln, with its selection of vibrant restaurants and bars giving the area a lively feel. Other sights in the area include the sand dunes and beaches of the Lincoln National Park and the beautiful landscapes of Coffin Bay.
