Dust and insect corpses in and around the living area. The promised "welcome bottle of wine" did not materialize. Use by dates long gone on jars of jam, one even had been opened by the prior occupant, a knife used to taste the product, then returned to the cupboard. A used bedsheet still in the sofa bed from the previous stay (I know this as I shook dead insects from it) No liquid soap in the shower. On the whole the property is stunning, the scenery is captivating. The Lodge is deluxe with features - Hosts are on par - We are not bushwalkers - but the surrounding environment of the native Bushland is a breath of fresh air. The property could have been cleaner as I had to clean bath before use and there were a lot of cobwebs. Seemed like the place was not used for a while. The blinds were shut when we arrived and that wasn’t very welcoming. The link to directions took us up a dirt road unsuitable for cars and it was only the next day when we ventured towards Port Lincoln that we found the proper route -therefore I suggest that the owners send a welcoming email with good directions prior to guests arriving. These criticisms aside, it was a wonderful place to stay and bird lovers will not be disappointed! Very peaceful and nice, light and airy and seclude. Sold us was that I love a bath and together would have been nice . The picture advertised was the bath in the middle of the room so that's what I thought we were getting.
