Firstly, all the staff were extremely friendly and made us most welcome. The Hotel had gone to great lengths to ensure it was very safe considering the Covid restrictions. Breakfast was excellent, although now it is a table service due to the restrictions. Although there was a slightly reduced evening menu, there was enough choice and the food was excellent, again. The rooms are in a stable annexe. You have to remember this is an old coaching inn and not to expect perfection. It is full of character. Our room was clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The shower was good. Wifi was usually good, but a bit slow around breakfast time. The only downside of the room was some traffic noise (although not too bad when trying to sleep). If you suffer, just bring some earplugs! A minor problem we had was an ill-fitting wardrobe door. As it was minor we didn't report it and it certainly did not detract from a very pleasant stay. We would certainly stay again. Thanks to everyone at the Hunters' Hall.
