Fabulous! Clean, comfortable, convenient. Nicky was lovely. The breakfasts were super. I would return in a heartbeat.
We had a lovely short stay here. It was peaceful and had all we needed. It was clean and comfortable. Owner very friendly.
Helen is a lovely host! The hotel is an easy walk to town and the esplanade, but feels quiet and away from the bustle. The bathrooms were small and quirky, but very well maintained with good showers. We were two couples, and both bedrooms were a decent size with plenty of dresser space to unpack ...

Tenby might be small, but it's one of Wales' most pretty harbourside towns. A jumble of pastel-coloured 19th-century houses looks over the harbour and the long stretches of golden sand beach. It's encircled by the remnants of a 13th-century wall and criss-crossed by a little network of ancient streets, lined with cosy pubs and ice cream parlours. Tenby has escaped the retro tackiness of some British seaside resorts. During the summer months, its achingly beautiful landscape attracts a family crowd, who come to stay in Tenby bed and breakfasts along the coast and escape the stuffy cities. During winter, Tenby reverts to its sleepy fishing town self, with dramatic storms and crashing waves used as inspiration for many an artist.
Planning an artistic break or taking the whole family on a British seaside holiday? The bed and breakfasts in Tenby have got you covered. Here, the places to stay are as diverse as the owners. Some are housed in the period properties, whose traditionally furnished guestrooms overlook the ocean and the Pembrokeshire coastline. Others are chic little properties with ocean-inspired interiors. If you'd prefer a place outside the town in one of the Welsh stone farmhouses, they have those, too, and you'll always find B&Bs with family-sized bedrooms if you're bringing the young ones. The best place to find the perfect match is on Expedia, where each of the listings has photos and descriptions to help you choose, and booking takes just a few clicks.
Though each is different, guestrooms typically come equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Once you've checked in, you can settle in to your home-away-from-home. Here, you can expect facilities for making tea and coffee, large double beds and a flat-screen TV on the wall. WiFi is a given and most will come with private ensuite bathroom. If you're lucky, you might be able to score a free parking spot outside or bring your furry friend to one of the pet-friendly bed and breakfasts in Tenby. In the morning, you can wake up to a hearty breakfast cooked by the owners before making a beeline for the beach. Why not try the attractions of the Welsh capital, Cardiff, next?
It's true that most come to Tenby for the 3 long stretches of beach and when you catch your first glimpse of the sparklingly clean sand, you'll understand why. Even with the summer crowds, you'll never have trouble finding a little spot where you can work on your tan or tiptoe down to the ocean for a refreshingly cool dip. Grab a bucket and spade and head down to one of the beaches near your Tenby bed and breakfast with the kids, for hours of family fun.
There's much to do beyond the beach, though. You could head out on one of the charter boats to try your hand at mackerel fishing, take a trip to Caldey Island – home to a small community of residents and a group of Cistercian monks – to go birdwatching, or admire the Grade II listed former lifeboat station, which now serves as a private house overlooking the water – it was featured on the hit TV series, Grand Designs. Alternatively, if you can tear yourself away from the beach, you can enjoy the works at the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery or discover times gone by at the Tudor Merchant's House.
