The local town of Narberth is very quaint with plenty of places to eat and unique shopping. Tenby is close by and we used it as a base for a visit to Skomer Island. The room as was the building was spotless. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Will definitely go back and for a longer stay. All i will say is that if you don't visit Canaston Oaks then you don't know what you're missing. We stayed in a 'cwtchy' room and were expecting it maybe to be a little cramped, but it wasn't at all; it was perfect for us. It was very clean and tastefully decorated, as was the whole complex, and the outside terrace was a lovely, peaceful area to enjoy a relaxing drink in the evening. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and served us a delicious breakfast in the morning. We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights but we haven’t been given rooms close to each other and we have been asked to pay extra £100 to get closer room. Breakfast time is very short 08:30 to 09:30 in my opinion just to save money and not paying for a chef. We have asked for ice cubes for our drinks but our request has been rejected. Emma and her staff are really welcoming and helpful; the breakfasts are plentiful and gorgeous; and the room we had was exactly what we hoped for. The nearby town of Narbeath is close enough to get to for evening meals and the three places we ate at were really good. The owners were very friendly and helpful. All of the facilities appeared to be newly built and were all of the very highest quality, though I do not believe it to be a new business. Our room was spacious and the owners had thoughtfully provided everything that one could possibly need. We'd happily stay here again. Our only criticism (very minor) was that the pizza wasn't that great; I think we were expecting a "proper" stonebaked pizza but it felt much more like a shop-bought base with ingredients thrown on top. Very minor, and have still given a 10 out of 10 score regardless. Worth noting that if you really don't like dogs, this place may not be right for you.
