"I really wanted to give this place high reviews, but unfortunately the great pluses this property has (amazing location right on the water and views) are negated by an overzelous and controling owner. Prepared to be scolded, warned and admonished for many things a paying costumer would not in other stablishments. I.e. do not take the kayak out in the beautiful bay because it could be damaged by the coral..are u serious? Why have a kayak on the property if it cant be used. Or, dont leave the AC...

"We cannot rave enough about our stay here. I researched so many places and agonized a bit picking a spot in a country we had never visited before, but we felt nothing but THRILLED with our choice. Every space is even better than you can capture in a photo. The outdoor space was such a selling point for me and it was amazing. So spacious with so many places to sit and enjoy the sun or the shade. The outdoor structures can be lit up at night at the push of a button to make it functional well into the evening. With the time change we were always up early, so preferred being on this side of the island to sip our coffee and tea (provided by the amazing hosts) on the patio as the sun rose. Some great things we weren’t expecting but loved - you have a GIANT closet off the bedroom that was so nice to unpack all our gear and clothes into. The washer worked great, and the hosts provide a drying rack as well as a clothes line and clips to dry your clothes. She gave us reviews for shops and restaurants, including Moto Grill just minutes away that proved to be the best restaurant we ate at in all of French Polynesia. Although the personal bowl of poisson cru she delivered from her own kitchen blew all the restaurant versions away! We did so many excursions and snorkeling during the day, we much preferred to come home to the sound of crashing waves and the incredible privacy that came with staying on this part of Moorea."

"Very quaint, clean, big enough for the both of us. The stove was a bonus as we cooked breakfast every day. The Host Elizabeth was a delight, made us feel very comfortable. The homemade Yogurt she shared with us was delicious. I am buying a yogurt machine to make my own (Thank you Elizabeth). The dogs were very friendly. Great location."

"This property was tucked away from everything and it being on the water was very peaceful. We spent a lot of time near or in the water. We took Kayaks out, which were provided from the host, to go explore the waters. We found coral close by and snorkeled just a short paddle away from the house. The outside shower was really nice and very private, even though it was outside. Our bedroom was air conditioned, which was nice, but we only used it at night while we were sleeping. Over great stay and really private. "

"This is a very hard review for me to write Pros: - Beautiful, authentic house - Gated and feels very safe - Great location - Incredible almost private like beach just a two minute walk away - Plenty of parking Cons: - The power went out for a day and a half so we were scrambling to find a hotel that was open. The house managers were very communicative and came by the house. But it was like pulling teeth to get a refund for that day. - The main living area of the house does not have AC. So it's just so so so hot hanging in the main house - The bugs are a real problem. Any tiny piece of food dropped will have hundreds of ants within an hour - I guess I should have been more thoughtful when I saw pictures of bug nets on the beds. They are definitely needed. If there weren't so many bugs this was a great place. Reminder that there is no heated dryer so it's hard to get clothes truly dry in such a muggy environment. I used the floor hanger thing and directed the fan against it. "

Or, dont leave the AC running or the lights on when you leave because it is very expensive (are u kidding me? I am a mature person who manage a budget of over $50M and have delivered many large construction projects and you are treating me like a 5 yr old?). This is a nice property and the owner tries to be nice, but from the hospitality biz perspective, its management needs a whole diffrent perspective. Moorea is an amazing, fantastic, laid back place. One shouldnt go there and pay good money to be treated like misbehaved kid."
