We enjoyed the setting and the property itself very much.However, the service was disappointing. Christina, the housekeeper, was not welcoming and often made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. Sheets and towels were never changed during our week-long stay, and when we asked for fresh pool towels after several days, she seemed annoyed. The washing machine didn’t work, and when we asked for help, our clothes were taken elsewhere and returned ruined with bleach stains—without an apology. The kitchen was also never cleaned, and by the end of our stay, the oven was left dirty.We also chose this villa for its privacy, but multiple unannounced visitors (owners, technicians, even strangers) appeared on the property, sometimes while we were eating or swimming. Mosquitos were a serious issue despite precautions, and the internet, while present, was very slow.Overall, while the villa itself is beautiful, the lack of proper housekeeping, maintenance, and privacy makes it hard to justify the 11,500 per week price." The pool was refreshing and the view was outstanding. We had a 3 bedroom apartment in the main building and it was quite large and ideal for our grandson as apart from the main stairs it was mostly all one level so he could easily crawl around. Please note that basic amenities are not provided. You will need toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, dish cloths etc. We arrived late so were a bit surprised to be without toilet paper but the host was very responsive and brought us some right away. We went out the next day and stocked up on things we needed and had a wonderful time there. It was one of our favourite places that we stayed and it felt very authentic. It is also walking distance to a wine tasting with lunch in a castle. First off the villa is in a perfect location- right in the middle of the Pisa, Siena, Florence triangle if you will. Day trips are easy to do to almost any Tuscan area from the villa. The villa itself was great- all the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean, showers have great water pressure. The view from the back porch is incredible as expected. Highly recommend the wine tasting they offer it was one of the cooler experiences I had in my time traveling for 3 months in Europe. My friends and I love the villa and will certainly be reccomending it to friends!!!"
