"Rooms were COLD, but once I found the heater, that helped. Access is down a long drive which is drive in / Reverse out, especially when the neighbour positioned their rubbish bins at the edge of their drive to stop anyone using it as a turning space! Finding the house could be helped with better street numbering at the end of the drive - the number is on the letter box which is seen when heading in the opposite direction. Very quiet at night and the ability to park off the road was good."

"Close to village and transport. Excellent hot shower. Very comfortable bed. Courteous, helpful and discreet manager, owners and neighbours. This is a solid old colonial working class house in the process of being tastefully renovated. Work is still to be done to make it warmer though the heat pump and electric heaters are provided and work well. So bring warm clothes for the changeable Wellington weather! And a warm dressing gown and slippers or thick tracksuit for inside the house. The sunrise and sunset are beautiful over the hills. The full kitchen is a blessing for anyone with a special diet and wanting to cook all meals at home. Perfectly clean throughout."

"super cool space, great location and good value for money. Yes, it's a bit tired and some corners could do with a spruce up, but end of the day, it's a huge space with clean comfy beds, with lots of cool crazy features. Our work team of 6 had great fun staying here."

"The property was very clean, roomy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, we were there during Wellington's 'state of emergency' and stayed indoors most of the time we were there. We felt very safe and out of danger while we were there but if you don't like loud sounds of wind and rain, you might struggle with this property. This is nothing the owners can do anything about but the noise from the horrible weather conditions made it very hard for us to sleep. Apart from that, the host was very responsive and helpful and we had a great time. I would like highly recommend this property."
