You don’t want to drive in Taormina! The host was very responsive and access to the apartment without any hassle. I recommend for anyone to stay there. We did not want to leave! Much less busy than the city of Taormina. The apartment is on a hilltop looking down at a lovely bay and Mozzaro beach. Lots of restaurants with sea views and 3 min walk from bus and taxi stands and the cable cars. Unfortunately the cable cars were under repair during our visit as this would have been super convenient to quickly get up to Taormina. Should reopen soon. I loved how clean and ergonomic this spot was, and how it was super-efficient to reach both beaches :) We ended up preferring Mazzaro beach and loved being near it. Location is also close to the cable car - big plus! One bummer was just the reality of Taormina - parking is worse than painful. And an official wouldn’t even let us park for 60 seconds to load our bags when we were trying to leave. Anyway, this place met our needs extremely well and Guisi was very communicative and helpful! ##### Celeste S. Giusi, who is the homeowner was very lovely to work with and talk to from beginning to end. To start, she helped organize transportation to and from the airport, which was one less thing to worry about. Upon arrival, she was there to greet us and give us a tour of her home, which was a nice gesture after a long trip. We also communicated some via text message with a few questions that we had during our stay and she was always very prompt in responding. Additionally, the property was in a great location near the beautiful beaches - Isola Bella beach and Lido Pigna Beach and also very close to the cable car to take up to the Corso Umberto. The house was very clean and organized. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Taormina and we'll be returning in the future. ##### Emery P. Our jaws dropped when we walked out onto the seafront terrace with its cheerful geraniums, comfortable seats, and spectacular panoramic view of Mazzarò Bay. The photos of the terrace on the VRBO website do not do it justice. Though the flat is on the busy Via Nazionale, you wouldn’t know it once you’re inside. No traffic noise at all. Another great aspect of the flat is its convenient location. It’s a short walk from the cable car up the mountain to Taormina (a fun ride!). It’s also a short walk from the stairway up the mountain with its wonderful views of the coastline, and to the stairway down to the beach leading to Isola Bella. Across the street from the flat is a well-stocked mini-market where we were able to buy all the groceries we needed. Since we were on our honeymoon, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the romantic Ristorante Sant’Andrea in the five-star Belmond hotel—3 minutes walk away from the flat. We also enjoyed an afternoon at the public beach at the far end of Mazzarò Bay. As we told Giusi at the end of our stay, we would definitely stay here again and for more than the brief three-night visit on our first trip to Sicily. ##### James M. The view from the veranda takes your breath away and you just want to sit there straight away with a glass of wine and relax!The apartment is owned by the host, Guisi, and she was there to greet me on arrival and show me around the apartment. It was spotlessly clean and had 2 bedrooms of similar size, both of which had amazing views out over the sea.My friend and I arrived by car. We were lucky that there were 2 parking bays for unloading just near the apartment and they were available. We then moved the car 150 metres down the road to the car park for the cable car. Parking was free if you can get a space. You don't have to pay until July to park there. If there are no spaces you can drive to the back of this car park and up the slope where you will find private parking for 20 euros a day. We were lucky and managed to find a space each time.The apartment looks out over Mazzaro beach, which is definitely the better beach. The other beach that looks over Isola Bella is much more crowded and touristy. Check the cost of the sun loungers before you commit. One lot charged 25 euros a day and the next ones down charged 15 euros a day!There is a small supermarket across the road and a slightly larger one just down the road. The cable car is a 3-4 minute walk away and goes every 15 minutes up to Taormina. The ride takes 4-5 minutes and costs 6 euros one way or 10 euros for a return. The cable cars continue until around 1am.A perfect apartment! ##### Melissa T.
