This is a very nice hotel for the money. Good sized rooms, very clean and well organised. The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel is right next to the train station and it is a flat 2k walk to the Korakuen garden.

The room is fantastic and so is the location given that it’s right next to the train station, but this is NOT a hotel. You sign in using a machine and you can’t drop your luggage in advance, or leave them there after which is frustrating when you’re arriving earlier. No human interaction at all, but the room is truly beautiful and it has an outdoor shower.

An incredible stay from start to finish. I require a gluten-free diet, and the chef did an amazing job accommodating my needs. Everything was exceptional, from the thoughtful staff and beautiful interiors to the canal-front location and the lantern provided for evening walks. It was truly a five-star experience and an unforgettable, authentic Japanese stay.
