  • Q Square mall-- not exactly a tourist destination (there are many malls in Taipei) but it's a nice mall located close to Taipei Main station (Metro/MRT) if you're looking to escape the heat. Huge food courts here too with lots of options (and obviously shopping). This mall also has a movie theatre, which shows mostly American movies (but cheaper). It's also about a 10-15 walk to the historic Dihua street, one of the oldest areas of the city which was once the main market area (still lots of interesting shops there that cater to the local...good photo opps too with some older buildings)

My city single room is small and quaint. The building seems old, but the hotel keeps it clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Communication with the management was flawless. I also appreciate how eco-friendly this hotel is. The narrow stairs definitely make transporting suitcases challenging.

Good to stay if you can

A stylish place with cool deco. We were attracted by the style and decided to make our stay at the door inn. Everything was great, like the services and cleanness except the location. The host and staffs were nice and provided help to us - cleaning the room everyday, keep our luggages and washing our clothes. If you are going to drive or having a driver at Taipei, totally recommend the door inn to you.

最上階のペントハウス（？）にステイ。 テラス（小さいが悪くはない）からの古い瓦屋根など趣きあり。室内は明るいミニマム系で快適。ただし、バスタブは無し（古い建物のリノベゆえ仕方ないだろう）。スタッフは夜間不在だけれど、LINEのやり取りでリクエスト等は問題なし。 アドバイスとしては、スーツケースが重い人にはオススメしない。なぜなら、階段しかないから！

古いビルを素敵にリノベーションしてあり滞在中気持ちよく過ごせた。 数日滞在したのでランドリーサービス、Wi-Fiは助かった。 シャワーの水圧は問題ないが、温度が安定しないことがあった。 部屋に冷蔵庫がないが、一階ロビーの冷蔵庫を使うことができる。 宿の公式LINEを登録する必要があり、チェックインの詳細を現地到着後にやり取りするためSIM環境を整えた方がスムーズ。 18時以降はフロント不在のため深夜着の場合は事前にチェックイン方法を確認しておいた方が安心かも。

期待ハズレなホテル

LINE登録しないとチェックインができないシステムでした。何度もHotels.comのメッセンジャーから連絡を試みましたが入館するパスワードを知らせていただけず、外で長時間待たされました。ホテルの従業員の態度も偉そうで、とても不快でした。ホテルはエレベーターがなく、階段も狭くて急なスロープになっているのでスーツケースを運ぶのに不便でした。部屋も、とても狭く、上着を吊るすことさえできませんでした。ミニ冷蔵庫やミニテーブルさえなく、ただ寝て、簡易シャワーを浴びるだけの部屋でした。シャワーもトイレに隣接しているので、シャワーを浴びると便器がびしょ濡れになるほどスペースがありません。また、台湾で一般的なボトルウォーターのサービスさえなく、Gold会員であっても本当に何のサービスもありませんでした。あえて良かった点をあげるなら、ホテルの近くにレトロな雰囲気の夜市がある点、ホテルの価格が比較的安い点、壁の色が白な点だけです。口コミとだいぶ違い、本当に残念な滞在でした。
