My husband and I love luxury and The Ambassador absolutely delivers that. We stayed in the Maharaja Suite. It was exceptional with the stunning views of the river. One of our favorite hotel Suites we have stayed in while traveling around the world.

I did not feel safe there. It is a few rooms above a very active bar. There is no secure entrance to the rooms. Just a chair on.the stairs Sign- For hotel guest only. When you get to the room, it is a key door and it does not lock automatically.. which we did not realize until the next morning. Expedia and I contacted the owner.. scheduled for three more nights and he gave me one night credit. I talked to aother tourist who were staying in room above another bar. She said that their ‘hotel’ hallway entrance had a door with a key fob as well as their room.

"The hotel is extremely dated. Note that there is a large annex, so if you are in a “garden” room, you are not staying in the castle, it is an outdated 1980s annex. The bathroom had a sink that had been broken and poorly glued back together and a very dirty fan. The beds were extremely uncomfortable ..."
