Nice and friendly hotel

Very nice and friendly hotel in a quiet part of the town. Close to restaurants, shopping and the ferry. The owner was helpful and friendly. A hotel we will come back to next time we visit Syros.

We spent 4 days in Syros in June at the Ethrion Hotel. George, the owner was waiting for us and made sure every day that we had the best of the island for our holiday. Excursions, beautiful beaches, gourmet restaurants, seesight visits. He even gave us a history lesson on the Syros. He was like a father to us during those unforgettable days. He is an excellent host. The hotel is new, very clean, with a beautiful view of Syros port. Our room was really quiet, cosy and very comfortable right at the heart of the Syros port. We will recommend this hotel to our friends in Quebec. We are already planning to travel back to Syros next year and stay again at Ethrion!

Hotel is very nicely located in the city center, in my opinion this is the place to stay if you travel to Syros. Vespina always prepared an amazing breakfast, full of different varieties, very delicious! George was very kind and took his time to explain island surroundings and ways around the island! Many thanks to both Vespina and George for providing an excellent service! Would be happy to come back again!

Locatie was zeer goed. De hygiene kon wat beter. Er hing nog een handoek op balkon en chips restjes op de grond. De wasbak liep niet goed door . Zeer aardige beheerder. Wij kregen zeer goede tips. We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Etherion op Syros

Excellent Choice

Very good central location for exploring Syros. The seaview room is spacious and comfortable. George the owner was welcoming and made good suggestions for seeing the most interesting parts of the town. Thoroughly recommended.

Everything was great. The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel is well located next to the ferry station, the bus station to several beaches and very close to the city centre. I would definitely recommend. Thanks a lot to the staff of Hotel Ethrion.

Vue magnifique sur la mer et la ville, parfaitement situé à deux pas de la place centrale et du marché! Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cet établissement et George nous a très bien accueilli et conseillé lorsque nous lui avons posé des questions! La femme de ménage est passée à tous les jours, même si on avait pris soin de mettre le signe de ne pas déranger sur la poignée de porte! Elle voulait s’assurer qu’on avait tout ce que nous avions de besoin!! Un hôtel à recommandé à tous!

L’hôtel est plutôt bien avec une belle vue sur Ermopouli….mais je ne pense pas que le prix de la chambre à174 Euros soit justifié. Étant un grand voyageur, avec l’habitude de passer d’hôtel en hôtel, on a quand même l’impression de faire du mécénat dans une période un peu trouble économiquement. Pour être plus clair, je veux bien venir en Grèce aider le secteur touristique, mais c’est toujours désagréable d’être pris pour un pigeon….

Spacious, clean and well located

Very clean and suitably located to the city centre. Host was extremely friendly and helpful, while the room was spacious and convenient. Only problem (which is true for the whole city actually), the lack of parking space.

Great Hotel for your Syros stay.

We were very pleased with our stay. Breakfast is served, not buffet, you have choices to suit every taste. Our corner room had a view of the harbor and two balconies. The bed was comfortable and staff was frindly and accommoding. Hotel was less than a ten minute walK from the ferry. We would highly recommend this hotel for you stay in Syros.

Βελτιώσεις στην καθαριότητα!

Το δωμάτιο είναι ευρύχωρο αλλά η καθαριότητα πολύ μέτρια καθως περιοριζόταν μόνο στα βασικά σημεία του χώρου. Κάποια πράγματα θα μπορούσαν να αντικατασταθούν με νεώτερα καθώς ηταν πολυ φθαρμένα, όπως το κάθισμα της τουαλέτας. Υπήρχε μηχανη εσπρεσο στο δωμάτιο που ηταν χρήσιμη προσθήκη. Η τοποθεσία ήταν πολύ κεντρική και βολική.

The service was great the room is what you pay for. I personally did not find it comfortable and I found the bathroom out dated however the view was amazing. You are paying for the view and the great service.

What can I say? I usually don't do these kinds of reviews, but once in a while I make an exception. I loved this hotel, everything from the location, room, breakfast, hospitality of owner Giorgos was memorable and perfect. Only regret is that I could only stay one night. The hotel is very close to the port, but a little behind it so you feel things are at more relaxed pace. Wifi was fast and reliable, too.

A lovely Stay in Syros

Loved our stay with George at the Ethrion. He is very helpful with your questions and with giving you an overview of the island and town so you can make the most of your vacation. The room was very comfortable, we had a lovely balcony with a sea and city view. The room had robes and a coffee maker, so you can enjoy your first cup of coffee in the morning on the balcony. The rooms have been renovated nicely and are very comfortable and a good size. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to our friends.
