Every room has been tastefully decorated with all the modern amenities to make you feel like your in a 5 star hotel with all the facilities of a modern home. The property has been set up for guests to enjoy the best Sydney has to offer in terms of accommodation and location.
The Space:
Apartment 1 & 2 are on the ground floor of the building, upper floors are accessed via the stair case (no lift). Apt 3, 4 & 5 are on the 1st floor. Apt 6,7 & 8 are on the 2nd floor. Apt 9, 10 & 11 are on the top floor. There are nice balcony areas to enjoy different views depending on the floor and unit. Stevens Building is an architectural masterpiece, prestigious, recognised by the NSW Trust as being the first residential apartment building to be constructed in New South Wales. Designed by renowned architect Joseph Alexander Kethel. Comprising of 11 apartments capturing views of Sydney Harbour Bridge, Garrison Church, and Observatory Hill depending on the apartment unit/floor.
Please Note: There are ongoing building works taking place behind the property at 73 Windmill Street, Millers Point. While we do our best to ensure a comfortable stay, guests may experience some noise during daytime hours. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to answer any questions you may have before booking.
Guest Access:
Guests are most welcome to enjoy the property.
For security purposes, check-in details will be emailed to confirmed guests 2 days before arrival for an easy smooth fast check-in. Kindly make sure you have submitted the security form with all the valid ID's of all adult guests staying so that you receive a seamless check-in experience :)
If the FIRE ALARM is triggered, guest needs to pay for the fire call out fee.
The Neighborhood:
The Rocks is Australia’s colonial history on display in modern-day Sydney. European settlers first arrived at this harbor landing in 1788 and since then The Rocks has been the site of crooked slums, cobbled walkways, hidden courtyards, and convivial pubs. Stories seem to hide in every nook and cranny, but The Rocks’ petite size makes unravelling their yarns an easy (and wholly enjoyable) task for urban sleuths and aimless wanderers.

International Airport: 20 minutes by cab without traffic
Central Station: 17 minutes by train
Opera House / Circular Quay: 5 minute walk
Bondi Beach: 25 minutes by bus
Other Things to Note:
All guest are required to complete an online insurance / security form. This step involves uploading an ID and a selfie holding the ID to verify the booking details. For the home owners security, only guests who are listed on the security form are allowed access to the property.
Australia is a tropical country, from time to time you may see bugs, spiders and insects, mostly harmless. We don't accept cancellations on the above but are at your disposal should you need any assistance. We regularly fumigate the property to prevent unwanted pests.
There is also a building boom going on through out Sydney we don't refund for construction noise if anything is going on in the neighbourhood however if there is works being done next door or in the same building we will have a note in our summary.
Lost keys or keys not returned to the lockbox is a call out fee of $350.

Fantastic location and problems with linen dealt with quickly. Great spacious apartment for a family of 4. All the amenities needed. Construction starts at 7.30 in the morning directly behind bedrooms (we were pre warned about ongoing construction) but did not realise how close it would be especially because we were on the ground floor.
Would highly recommend. Location is fabulous. Apartment had everything we needed.

Great place to stay in Sydney. Comfortable, centrally located apartment. In walking distance of many local sites and just a 5 minute walk to train/light rail and ferry. The apartment has everything you need including a full kitchen and laundry room. I would absolutely rent again.
For a two bedroom unit, could use easy chair to go with
rather small sofa in living room. Beds are very hard.
IKEA type bare bones furniture, very plain.
Combination tub, shower in bathroom. Very quiet
building on nice residential street. If you have lots of
luggage ( after cruise ) request ground floor. Stairs in
building are rather steep. Beautiful pub two building up.

We had a great stay at this apartment! The space itself has beautiful high ceilings and charming architecture that really added to the experience.When we arrived, there was a bit of a musty smell due to the rain the day before, but Gabriel was incredibly responsive when we reached out. She quickly let us know where to find the dehumidifier, which helped a lot. Her attentiveness and quick communication made a real difference throughout our stay.As mentioned in other reviews, the mattresses are on the firmer side. After three nights, I started to feel it a bit, but I also recognize that mattress preference varies from person to person. My adult daughters, for example, found them perfectly fine.The two biggest highlights of our stay were the fantastic location and Gabriel’s excellent hospitality. Being within walking distance of everything we wanted to see was such a perk, and knowing we had someone who was quick to respond and help when needed made our trip all the more enjoyable. No place is perfect, and things naturally need maintenance over time, but Gabriel’s attentiveness helped create a memorable experience.
Great spot, expected to be upstairs as per online pictures, was a little musty from being shut up. The unit had everything we needed and was a terrific location - would definitely stay here again when next in Sydney.
The location couldn't have been better. We were in walking distance to everything! I always felt safe walking day or night. The pictures are a bit misleading, but the home was very clean and offered everything we needed. The beds are EXTREMELY firm and aggravated my back and hip issues, but that's just me. The only things I would suggest is adding a comfortable chair in the living area. I would definitely go back.

Tidy home with amazing location, unfortunately Let down by accuracy of listing and broken appliances. Could not get a better location to explore Sydney with your friends and the home was very comfortable. However the listing included an ironing board which was never found and the dishwasher and clothes dryer didn’t work (all 3 things requiring to be used on our stay) I would suggest the Cleaners be more thorough in their bathroom clean, hair clogged the shower which wouldn’t drain and cockroaches hanging out in the warmth and damp shower…eek. Understandably it’s an old property, we all get critters, perhaps baits needed.Over all we were only there to sleep whilst we explored beautiful Sydney. Some things need attention and I’m sure they will be sorted So go ahead book, enjoy Sydney CBD and the rocks at your doorstep.
The location to The Bridge & The Rocks & Observatory were excellent.The location next to the Hero of Waterloo pub was perfection, because the food & drink & atmosphere was excellent.The location between 3 playgrounds was super convenient & fun!The townhouse itself is a bit too monochrome white, because it starts to feel sterile. Just a bit of color in the living rooom & kitchen or art on the walls would make staying inside more comofortable and welcoming.There were not enough power ports for the lamps in the room, because they were on the other side wall, perhaps consider adding a few extension cords with power strips.There are some repairs needed on the shower door and some window frames.The space heaters were fabulous & so were the TV channels. If you need to store your bags before check in, there are baggage storage companies at the EzyMart.Thank you for the milk & chocolate bar! YUMO!

Terrible beds
Only good thing about this property -Location is great
Parking is a big NO would highly recommend not hiring a car if your staying here
Bed was the most UNCOMFORTABLE thing we’ve ever slept on after a few nights of unbearable sleep we lifted the mattress to find half the bed-slates on the floor and the middle bed base legs completely bent out
Not only that but under the bed had clearly NEVER been cleaned
We also find it hard to believe that a cleaner would have missed the missing slates while lifting the mattress to make bed I believe they just ignored the situation as it wasn’t an easy fix as we found when we tried to fix our self’s for one nights good rest
Contacted property manager and was told “wish you told us earlier”
Emailed them photos of the situation and no reply after checkout
Don’t be fooled by images as we were on a bottom level unit with no balcony as per images on the listing
If your placed in unit 2 strongly recommend checking the bed base has been fixed before you attempt to sleep in the bed
