"The Corte Madera property is really nice and the location for value is perfect. It is a great location for a one night stay but the pool, basketball court and putting green make it great for kids and families too. Lots to do close by! Staff was great! Would stay again for sure"

"We loved our stay at Joan’s Treehouse in the redwoods! The home was unique, the bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our favorite part was the wonderful deck! We saw deer, hummingbirds and a Great Horned Owl family! It was a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine and the spectacular view! Joan was a delightful host and answered our questions promptly. Her dog, Gigi was a special treat, such a sweetheart! We would definitely recommend this property to others staying in Mill Valley. It was within walking distance to restaurants and shops. "

"On the positive side, the hotel itself is nice — the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The property also offers EV charging, which is a great amenity in theory. However, the biggest issue was the staff and overall attitude, which really affected our experience. We were traveling with a child and were initially placed in a very noisy room. Be careful when booking — the hotel is located right next to a highway, and some rooms get significant road noise. I explained that it would be impossible for us to sleep in those conditions, but instead of resolving the situation, we were told we could switch rooms only by paying extra. This felt very unfair — in situations like this, I believe a hotel should offer a solution or upgrade, not force guests to pay more. We also had a very unpleasant situation with the EV charger. After our Tesla finished charging, my husband returned the adapter, but later I was surprised to receive an email saying we hadn’t returned it — and we were charged for it not once, but twice. I called the hotel multiple times to resolve the issue, and the staff were rude and insisted the adapter had not been returned. Only after three calls did they finally admit it was their mistake. Unfortunately, the issue is still not fully resolved — the charges have not yet been reversed, and I have not received any confirmation by email. Overall, while the hotel itself is good, the service and handling of issues were very disappointing."

"The exterior photos don't do it justice, the neighborhood with houses built into the redwood forest is amazingly beautiful. Walked miles and miles and never tired of the views. The cottage is very comfortable an clean and had everything we needed. We took my 94-year-old MiL who gets around well for her age. She was able to climb the steps up to the house. Wouldn't be suitable for anyone with serious mobility issues, but otherwise, great place to stay."

"This is a nice two-level accommodation. The upstairs with complete kitchen, sitting area and dining area is naturally lit and has clear views of Mt. Tam. The neighborhood is quiet. The streets are very narrow and some are very steep so using a compact car makes travel easier.The hot water in the sinks upstairs seems dependent on taking a hot shower first, although the kitchen sink water will heat up after a few minutes.The kitchen is well supplied with the tools needed for cooking any sort of meal and the full-size frig is great.The host is very responsive to messages and supplies simple and clear directions for entry and everything via the vrbo communication system.I have stayed here twice and hope to on my next trip to Mill Valley."
