Very strong smell of pungent cooking/frying food in the house. That's how we realized there were residents in the basement. The smell permeates the house for quite awhile. It's a bummer for the folks (us) renting the house though. Wasn't too obnoxious, I guess you get used to it after a bit. Other than the odor, the place was nice enough, close to town, quiet. Walking distance to Sutton's Bay, close to Hop Lot and other wineries/cideries. Be careful, even if you book with VRBO the management company makes you sign their rental agreement with the management company and you open yourself up to additional liability.
