On Belanger Pond is a super charming cottage in a storybook-like setting. The cottage is located north of Suttons Bay and sits right on a large pond. It sleeps 6 with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

There is a bedroom on the main floor, and the upper bedroom is a loft area. There is a cozy living room off the kitchen and a large enclosed porch faces south over the pond. Mornings are beautiful sitting out here.

Make sure you bring your camera to this magical spot with gorgeous landscaping and a serene setting. Enjoy a fire in the provided fire pit. There is a charcoal grill for any outdoor cooking you might have planned.

This is a great location to enjoy all of the Leelanau County attractions. Stop at some of the wineries, Leelanau Sands Casino, the vintage Bay Theater, or one of the great local restaurants. The house is 20 miles from Traverse City.

Great place to venture out in all directions

Such a cute cabin! We wanted to explore several areas and this was perfect. Easy drive to Northport, Leland, Fishtown, Suttons Bay, and Traverse City.

Late Summer Girls Trip

My mom, sisters and I booked this cottage for our annual girls trip. The cottage was SUPER cozy and in the perfect location for what we had planned. It was only a five minute drive to downtown Sutton’s Bay and a 10 minute drive in the other direction would get you to Northport! Plenty of great seating areas and spaces to cozy up. The porches (both inside and out) were lovely. We would definitely not hesitate to stay here again!

Girls Trip

The Sutton Bay Area is so much more relaxing than Traverse City yet close enough to enjoy Traverse City and surrounding areas. This is minor but would be nice to have a shower head that adjusted. Again minor but would have made showering more enjoyable. Location though was perfect.

Charming cottage

I needed a place to do some uninterrupted work. This was a wonderfully peaceful and charming location. Drawbacks that weren't too consequential, no ac, no dishwasher. Unexpected drawback, no internet. In all, I'd stay here again. The all white shabby decor very calming. I have limited mobility. No problems with entry and first floor bedroom a plus.

The front of the cottage is on a main road but the side/back makes you feel like you are On Golden Pond. We took our mother for a weekend getaway and visited Fishtown, breweries and Traverse City. Everything was exactly what we were hoping. We will be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the Belanger Pond cottage, which was located right on M22 just 2ish miles north of downtown Suttons Bay. My mother and I enjoyed the French shabby chic feel of the place, and loved sitting on the porch and patio to enjoy the serene pond view. A great place to rest after many hikes and wine tastings. You even get a few peeks of the big lake from the porch and upstairs bedroom!Yes, you get some traffic noise as you are close to the road, but it's really only busy in the morning and early evening -- didn't bother us. I would say the only con is the well water (typical for when you're outside city limits up north), but we bought a water jug for drinking water and it was absolutely fine! Visit Up North also promptly replaced a coffee pot that was not working well with a new one which we really appreciated. A great stay and I'd love to return!

LOVED the outdoor deck space and enclosed porch (in case bugs/mosquitoes-which we didn't have). We had 4 adults and the one bathroom worked well. The 2nd bedrooms which is upstairs has a tight/lower ceiling at the top, so beware if you are taller (I am only 5'9" and I hit my head more than once). Also, no rails so if you're unsteady or have issues with balance, I would suggest staying on the main floor. It is right NEXT to the busy road which noisy at times, so also be aware of this; We saw this in the review, but didn't think it about it until after we heard the cars go by.

Family reunion week.

No AC but cooler weather worked out well.Hot water was short lived so we kept showers to a minimum. Overall, it is a very nice house and beautiful grounds.

Very cute historical stay

While we were there on a very hot weekend we were able to keep the house cool with the fans at night. Being from Western North Carolina my husband and I were able to adapt however, I would probably suggest that anyone with less of a heat tolerance be sure and check the weather for your stay! The property is adorable, private, and comfortable.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house had a cozy feel and nice cottage look to it, which is what we wanted in Northern Michigan. Unfortunately I woke up the first night to the sound of mice running in the house which felt very unsettling. We never saw any out during the daytime, but I was on edge the rest of our stay, and we ended up leaving a day early. It would be nice to be refunded for the night we didn’t stay, because I just wasn’t comfortable the rest of our trip due to being nervous about mice infestation.
