Great hotel
Very impressed with service, location, cleanliness, and breakfast. After staying in many of Surats hotels this is my favourite so far. My 1st time here but definitely returning on my next visit.

Great but dated
I have been staying in the diamond ever time I go to Surat Thani for years now, it is clean the restaurant food is excellent and the location great. The negatives are its not maintained well and very dated but it would have looked great in the 80's. I have tried other hotels in Surat but always go back to the diamond however there are some new modern places oppening up so I think I will try one of those next time.

I have stayed here several times as an overnight stopover before going to and returning from Koh Samui. The hotel is clean and comfortable for one night. The breakfast is always disappointing . The food is always cold. Watch out for dodgy concierge staff who try to arrange your transfer to Koh Samui at very inflated price. It is easy to do it yourself. Just get transport from outside the hotel to Seatrans office (50-100 baht depending on your negotiating skills). At Seatrans office you pay 100 baht for coach to Domsak Pier, 140 baht for ferry and you can also pay 150 baht for van to any hotel on Koh Samui.

Conveniently located hotel
Hotel is well located within the main Surat Thani district. Good access to shopping malls. Airport and restaurants. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Could do with upgrades in bathroom and bedroom

Lovely hotel and hotel staff.
All hotel facilities were clean. Hotel staff willing to go far beyond to help us get to where we needed. Clean pool. Close to a big shopping center 7/11 and the main road meaning a TukTuk was easy to find. Didn't have breakfast. Would highly recommend the hotel. Only bad thing was the toilet and showers were so load!

The room needs to be renovated
The room and all infrastructure is old and needs to be renovated, flushing sound during the night was annoying. But the cleanliness is very good. Nice breakfast

I never stayed here as It took me 20 minutes to get to front desk ..Insurance conference going on and lobby was virtually packed with hundreds of participants ..the noise was overwhelming and the group was staying overnight so I .What kind of hotel allows for that kind of disorganized mess in the lobby..cant be good

Creepy bell boys!
This hotel started off with this super super creepy bell boy that demanded tip and would not leave our room till we gave it to him. The hotle itself was fine. Bed was comy clean and had a pool.

It's about 20 kms from Airport which nearer than the hotel inside town that you can avoid traffic. Only 1 km away from Central Plaza Surat Thani and Robinson Department Store for your easy access to food and buying stuffs.

An overnight stay with a friend to do some shopping. Great location with Central Mall, Tesco & Home Pro so close. Easy drive from Don Sak Ferry pier. Ample parking in garage.

Excellent location. Near a major shopping complex.
Staff were very courteous and the doormen helpful. Morning breakfasts were adequate. I like an omelette in the morning (freshly made with onion, ham, cheese, for example). The staff obliged. And the chef knew how to make. It was perfect. One recommendation is to have some alternatives beside boring old sliced white bread!

Not much to be said about this place. It does a job as an overnight stop, and that's about it. If I had to stay in the city for longer than one night, I'd look for a place with a bit more character and style (although may be impossible to find). But, as I said, it does its job

THE HOTEL IS WELL PLACED IN TOWN CENTRE
We drove in 5 cars and found the hotel easily as its on the main road. Staff is courteous and helpful. Breakfast was a little boring though. The hotel helped us to get two tuk tuks to do a short tour of the city's sights as well as to ferry us to a nice sea food restaurant. All in all it was a very pleasant short stay.

Good location but poor counter service
Hotel location is great, within walking distance to two shopping malls and the market. During check in, I asked the reception counter for help in booking Phantip Bus to pick us up to airport as done in Wangtai Hotel. The staff refused and instead gave me the phone number to call myself although I explained to her that I can't communicate with the bus company in Thai and offered to pay for the phone call. When I asked about the taxi service, she immediately offered to book for me for 800 THB (though I found out later that you could get it at 500THB outside hotel). The management should see to it that the staff is not out to make money from hotel guests. There are are no safe deposit box and hair dryer as advertised.for a deluxe room.

Basic overnight accommodation for a night passing through the plus being the excellent power shower. Do take ear plugs as it is on main road, but the market opposite is well worth a visit.

Nice pool- good location for plaza!
Was good for a few nights stay- perfect location for central plaza- only about 400m away! - 5 min walk. Really nice views from the higher floors and really nice pool! We asked for extra pillows and a hair dryer and got them delivered to our room promptly. Breakfast was no good- but that didn't bother us too much as we just went to the plaza in the morning. Tuktuk into town is 20baht- nice and cheap- but they will try to charge u 100baht- so make sure u organise price first!
