The sitting room is decorated in soft colours with an exposed stone fireplace and a cosy wood burning stove. To the rear you will find a separate dining room, with seating for four guests and a modern, light filled kitchen, well-equipped to prepare some delicious meals. Bi-folding doors lead out to a private courtyard garden oasis with plenty of garden furniture. Upstairs on the first floor you will find the double bedroom dressed in plush feather bedding with soft cloud pillows to ensure a good night's sleep; and a bathroom with a large bath and a separate shower cubicle, perfect for soaking muscles after those long walks in the Cotswold countryside. Climb a further flight of cottage stairs to the second floor and discover a cosy reading snug with vaulted ceiling and exposed timbers. Set adjacent to Minchinhampton Common, Rock Cottage is a picture-postcard image of a quintessential, small Cotswold cottage. From its idyllic location, you are well placed to don your walking boots and explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. There are plenty of well marked footpaths that will take you through the picturesque valleys or, closer by, you have Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons, with their famous golf course and grazing cattle. You will find an array of independent shops, restaurants, pubs, cafés and tourist attractions in the many Cotswold towns, including Stroud (with its highly regarded Saturday Farmers' Market), Cirencester, Tetbury, Bath and Cheltenham. The area is also well served with a wealth of National Trust properties and gardens, along with the much-loved Westonbirt Arboretum. Rock Cottage is also available to book sleeping four guests with use of both bedrooms (please see separate listing). Additional Information: There is a second double bedroom which will be unavailable for use when booking for two guests. Should you wish to use this second bedroom, please book Rock Cottage (for four guests). Children and infants welcome (please provide your own infant equipment). Two well-behaved dogs welcome (additional charge). The bedding is feather. A hairdryer is provided in the bedroom. There are some uneven floors upstairs due to the age of the property.
