"Apart from one fundamental thing our stay was faultless. The pet-friendly room was large and had plenty of space for a fold-out sofa bed for our daughter. The location is excellent for exploring Cheltenham and Imperial Gardens is beautifully maintained. We loved being able to use the swimming pool at Cheltenham Ladies College too. The downside: the room was unbearably hot and the air conditioning system couldn’t cope. The hotel staff said that the system was struggling with the heat, but frankly, what’s the point of an air conditioning system that only works when it’s not hot..? This meant that the room was basically not fit for purpose. Eventually the staff found a spare tower fan but that didn’t really have any effect."
