"We had an overnight stay here as we were attending a friends birthday party nearby. A very pleasant pub in a quiet area. Good onsite parking . Staff were welcoming and helpful in assisting sourcing a local taxi service for us . Our room was spacious and comfortable .there was a very comprehensive info folder in the room.which had lots of info on local areas walks and local farm shops , one of which we headed to for brunch the next day and it was great.. Thoroughly recommend the Rose & Crown"

. Right in the heart of Corsham which is a delightful village. Cannot praise the lovely staff highly enough - friendly, helpful and happy. This venue is run extremely well we would happily revisit. Breakfasts are excellent with locally sourced produce. "

! Assume most were local. Patio looks down on large fields. Before sunset people walking, playing futbol. Room was unique, worried wife would not like it. But she loved it. Spacious, old, stairs appear challenging but not a problem. Did get help moving our too heavy bags. 20 minute drive to Bath and there is a bus if you don’t want to drive. "

"We stayed 2nts having previously visited by chance for dinner. Very

friendly (ours was a bit barky - apologies to other guests!). Room was comfortable and very clean. Dinner was good - breakfast excellent. Breakfast hostess was absolutely lovely friendly but not intrusive - a real asset to the place. Didn't much care for the bar manager but believe he was agency so will probably not be there long. Lovely area to visit and would definitely recommend this place for staying or just dining. "
