Wander around every building on the site, starting with the distinctive Great Hall, where off-white exterior walls stand out amid the grey stone of the fortifications and palace. As you pass through the palace, look upward to see replicas of the Stirling Heads, the oak medallions adorning the ceiling. Stirling Castle is a 20-minute uphill walk from the town’s main train station. Find on-site parking for those driving, as well as a gift shop, café and picnic area.
