"House keeping was very slow on Friday and missed our room for service. The beds are only double size not ideal for 2 persons on it in a twin room 3 elevators and only 2 were working over the Magic Round on the Saturday. Overall it’s not a bad hotel and a 10min walk to the Queen Street mall."

Breakfast was unfortunately a bit of a let down: - Food was the usual mix, so nothing out of the ordinary - No fresh milk, limited juice variety, low levels of food (time was mid-term of service) - “Restaurant “ ambience is ordinary with storage of goods on open display "

"Great bed very comfortable. Bathroom was very slippery in shower (felt as might slip over) and water pressure low. WIFI was bad Couldn't log in with.my laptop. Had to use my phone as a hotspot."

"Nice apartment with good views at the moment but a new apartment is being built so the views of the mountains will be gone. There was no noise from the build. The bed was very comfortable, and there is a smart TV. Great spot and easy to walk to South Bank, City or Westend."

"Spectacular views, clean, excellent communication by the staff online and in reception. Lovely reception staff. Parking is available for a fee which is well worth it. We got a little lost each time trying to find the car with all the different lifts which isn’t a big deal. The lifts are fast which is good for most people, but sadly wasn’t ideal for the adults like us who experience vertigo, as with the movement of the building. Kids had a ball."

"It was located in a good spot with a quick walk to the bus station. They didn't change the towels or bedding with the room service. The service from the front desk staff was very professional and kind, the restaurant though had staff playing loud music while guests were eating and were on their phones quite a bit."

"We loved our stay at The Star. Although it was a Monday night, the rooftop Sky Deck was full of people and the views just stunning! Room was gorgeous, recommend the river view (the higher up the better!) We had dinner at Dark Sheppard and were well looked after by the team. Would definitely do a little staycation again at The Star!"
