About this property

Häusle im Badegässla Vacation Apartment with Sauna

  • In city centre Bad Staffelstein, just a few steps away from cafés, restaurants, and bars, a cosy holiday apartment awaits you on the ground floor of our lovingly restored “Häusle im Badegässla.”

We have made it our mission to restore this small, historic 19th-century gem to its former glory with passion and care. The result is a harmonious blend of historic architecture and modern comfort: Many old materials have been refurbished, repurposed, and creatively integrated into the design—from a section of an old ladder wagon serving as a towel rack to restored pieces of furniture that now serve new purposes.

In the combined living, dining, and kitchen area, you can enjoy relaxing moments on the sofa in front of the large flat-screen TV or at the cosy dining table with its seating nook. The kitchen is discreetly integrated into the space and equipped with everything you need: an induction cooktop, dishwasher, fully automatic coffee machine with Fair Trade beans, organic teas, dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, and pans.

A special highlight is the private glass sauna with a relaxation chair, towels, and a selection of fragrant infusions. Subtle lighting creates an atmospheric setting for reading, relaxing, and taking a deep breath.

The bedroom invites you to enjoy restful hours with a comfortable bed, various light sources, and a TV. Despite the low ceiling height, the bathroom offers a modern, comfortable space with a walk-in shower, sink, toilet, and small extras like a shower gel dispenser and towel rack.
A quick note: The rain showerhead isn’t suitable for people taller than 1.75 m—but you can, of course, shower with the handheld showerhead (ceiling height: 2 metres)—it’s just an old little house with history and its own quirks.

This is how our “Häusle im Badegässla” uniquely combines history, craftsmanship, and modern comfort—a place to arrive, feel at home, and linger.

Note for cyclists: We’ve set up a storage area for your (e-)bikes in the building’s entryway. To use this space, you’ll need to carry your bikes up the three steps into the building.

Parking note: A private parking spot is available exclusively for you 24/7, located about 300 metres away. Short-term parking spaces with a 2-hour limit are located in the immediate vicinity of the apartment (free parking is also available in these spaces between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.). You may pull up in front of the building to load and unload.
