We have four teenagers that like a little independence and staying at Shiphouse 1 allowed each of us to determine when we wanted to enjoy the beach, hang at the pool or head into the town square for a cup of coffee or a little shopping. Carey at Hodnett Cooper was so easy to work with. Her communication was so consistent and thorough we never had to worry about not being prepared. The property was beautiful and clean, and it had everything we needed for a week's stay. St. Simon's Island is a beautifully manicured island with a good mix of full-time residents and visitors, old stately properties and newer builds, and enough amenities without being overrun.
