Fantastic location right across from the beach, and easy walking distance to many great restaurants and bars. The property was positively adorable and well-kept. It was very comfortable for the 9 guys that stayed there, with plenty of sleeping spots, towels, and space to store groceries. The kitchen and grill worked great for the cooking we did. We enjoyed the pool, even in the rain.
It was a fun visit and we loved the closeness to the beach across the street and right down road from John's pass. Had a couple issues with door locks and a shower curtain but overall hosts were friendly and fun place for family vacation.
The house is very clean and stocked with everything needed. The host was very responsive, friendly and kind. One of the best experience I ever had renting a house.

Excellent Location near West Event venue
We stayed here for a wedding next door. The house accommodated our large group with beds and baths. The upstairs unit with two bedrooms was particularly useful because it had more space. The furniture and colors of the lower level do not match the pictures. A few people in our group had some sinus issues while staying there which might indicate weather differences and/or an environmental issue in the home.
We loved our stay here for our extended family trip. The lay out of the house is interesting since you have to go through the bunk room in order to reach one of the large bedrooms. However that bedroom has its own exterior door which was convenient. The yard was very large and great for both units to spend time together! The host was very responsive and helpful. The location was fantastic! Short walk to John’s Pass and the beach is directly across the street. There is an event center next door which produced some noise on one night of our stay but it was not loud by any means and didn’t even keep our children awake.
I would definitely stay here again!

Very responsive host
It did the trick but wasn’t perfect by any means. Our concerns were promptly addressed. It is more like two apartments and on a busy road but directly across from the beach. There is a lot to do in the area, we loved taking a short walk to John’s Pass where there are cute shops and many restaurants. It is right next door to a wedding venue which was convenient for us because we were attending a wedding there but other people may find this to be problematic. The host was very accommodating and responsive!
Our family loved the idea you could walk on the beach to go to John’s Pass. The beach was a 3 minute walk. The traffic outside the front of the house didn’t keep any of us awake. The hot tub was a bit on the cool side when we arrived but we figured out how to turn it up and the temp was great by the end of our stay. For being only 5 months out from the hurricanes the house was clean and livable. The upstairs shower had a hole that is covered and the roof has plastic on it yet. It didn’t damper our stay. The water pressure in the upstairs shower was doable not great. The grill wasn’t cleaned from the previous renter’s and the upstairs bedroom had a comforter and bed skirt. We did find sheets to make it (no fitted sheet). The outside light upstairs didn’t work.I was impressed with how quickly my questions were answered before we arrived and while we were there.
This property fit all our needs! Its like two apartments! Upstairs has two bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen and living room. Downstairs has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and kitchen, and living room. Which was perfect because we basically had two families. Large hot tub out back with plenty of space to sit and hang out! Also has washer and dryer, which is located outside but was very nice to have! Also has and outside shower spot to rinse off once coming back from the beach and before getting into the hottub.4 parking spaces in the back and the backyard is fenced in for privacy. Has a grill that you can use, however, we didnt end up using it. LOVE the location. Its located right on Gulf Blvd and right by the pedestrian crossing which makes it super easy to get across the road and walk to the beach, which is like a 2 or 3 minute walk. We had an absolute fantastic time here and would definitely stay here again! Not to mention, the host was fantastic to deal with!
Proximity to the beach was wonderful. The host had a good communication.

Great location, super close to the beach and John's Pass. House had everything we needed to do any cooking etc. Owner was very attentive to anything we needed. The house seemed to be remodeled recently and they did a poor job of remodeling. The weather turned cold on us and the hot tub couldn't stay hot, even with the second heater. All and all we still had a nice stay.
The location and space were awesome and fit our family perfectly. On top of that the beach was a short walk across the street. The house was fully stocked with needed items. Would definitely come back again!
Good stay, beach acces was so easy to get to! Lots of room, older home but functional. Couple of small issues with some appliances. Overall owner very accommodating. Party of 12 all fit comfortably. Walk to Johns Pass was just minutes. Thanks for a good week.
Very close walk to beach. Back yard was great for just hanging out after a long day in the sun. Would definitely stay again. The host was prompt with replying to any questions or concerns.
Overall was very nice place. The noise from the road being so close was bad for a while but the location could help you forget about that. Overall very enjoyable experience.

Wedding
Location of house was key. But the ground unit needs a total overhaul. Knowing that it was flooded with sewer and sea water and nothing had been replaced was disappointing. The floors are in bad shape, the wood kitchen cabinets are in bad shape and the entire house smells musty and moldy.
This listing is a scam and this host preys on out of the country travelers who are completely vulnerable to his lies. Book here at your own risk.1)There are no twin beds and there's no living room. The first photo on this listing has been cleverly taken to show a space much bigger than it actually is. You get 2 rundown folding cushions and have to stack the dining furniture in order to sleep in the kitchen floor.2) Mattresses were very uncomfortable, all stained and encased in stained plastic covers.3) Many outlets don't work, with some getting our 5w phone chargers really hot. Some windows don't work either and come crashing down.4) You can hear everything from the street and the apartment upstairs.5) Blinds were broken and so dirty you could write on them.6) Even with the heater off and weather being cold, this apartment is stifling hot. There's no AC and the only way to get some air is to open all the windows (propping the ones that crash down) the problem is that during our stay, a bunch of adults gather infant of the building to smoke, so you have to choose between the smell of cigarettes and second hand smoking or the stifling heat.7) Eventhough we followed the check out instructions to the letter and left the place as we found it, the host has not returned our deposit and has not responded to our request to get a refund. At the time of this review, we have filed a complaint through VRBO against this listing.
Firstly, upon arrival it’s pretty clear that the area was hit hard by the hurricane. Lots of facilities in the middle of demolition or still boarded up.When entering the bottom floor of the house, there was a very distinct musty smell making it clear it was not properly dried out after the storm surge. The only recognizable feature from the pictures in the listing was the floor, which had visible water damage at the seams. From the middle of the walls down, the drywall or plaster was ripped out and replaced with paneling. The main sitting couch was replaced by two single chairs. The bedroom and bathroom pocket doors were replaced with doors that had a hole for a door knob with no lock. When walking by the bathroom door when closed you could directly see the toilet and shower area. All in all the house was patched together and was in no shape to be rented at a premium daily rate. When entering the beds for the night, there was sand at the foot of the bed underneath the top blanket in multiple bedrooms. On the second day, the toilets had very little pressure when flushing. When plunging the toilet, sewage started coming up from the drain in both bathtubs on the first floor. It took the maintenance team 2 hours to arrive and another 3 hours to fix the issue. During this time we were forced to use public restrooms.During our stay, we had some visits in the bathroom from the Florida Palmetto bug. Maybe this is a common occurrence, but certainly wasn’t something expected.
