Enjoyed my stay at the Historic Duckworth Hotel. It has a lot of charm. Very Quiet, bed was great and the room was clean. It has an upmarket restaurant on the ground floor and a great bar in the basement. It is very central, staff were great and everything worked.

Above a restaurant, close to everything downtown, parking garage across the street. Water damage on ceiling in unit, I assume it will be fixed. Great place to stay downtown that isn’t a pricey hotel.

It’s just really really old and therefore a bit dingy and crooked and carpet in entrance and stairs appear dirty. Room and bathroom in our king suite was very clean and roomy. Best bed out of 2 other hotels on our stay. Plaster and paint repair could help make it nicer. Staff was quick and attentive with simple requests. Window ac kept it cool and street noise at bay. Excellent location.

Room was clean and cleaning staff was very pleasant. Location is good with parking across the street. However there was no hotwater on the last day of our stay. As a result we were unable to take a shower before finishing our trip. Quite disappointing. TV in room is way to small for the room size. More of a computer monitor size. Room was cleaned somewhat quiet at times.

The location is excellent, close to many tourist spots in St. John's. This is an old heritage building with many stairs. The shared bathroom we had is a viable system and I appreciated the lower price compared to many downtown hotels.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The one thing I would tell people is that this is an hotel, and as long as you do, not mind a European feel this hotel is for you. There is no elevator. The staff are excellent. The location is amazing. We will stay there again.

This hotel is in a perfect location. It is housed in a charming older building, which means it lacks an elevator and the walls are a bit thin, but it is pretty clean, well-maintained, and comfortable overall
