We had an awesome time at Mallard Inn. The rooms are newly renovated and beautifully designed. The property is a historic building right next to Quidi Vidi Wharf. As the property just opened under new ownership when we visited, there were minor hickups (like eg. a missing bin in the room) which have been quickly resolved by the attentive and friendly stuff. Parking on site is limited and extended dinner options require a car to go into town.

Crossroads is a good affordable option if you are visiting the St. John's area. With easy access to main roads, it is easy to see why it is popular. Although there isn't a restaurant on site, there are a number of options a short drive away. My favourite feature of the rooms on floor 2 is the little balcony.

Good hotel. Bit outside of downtown St John’s but easy to get to.
Check in / out was really easy with no issues.
Room was fine, squeaky door on the bathroom that was sorted within minutes.
Bed comfortable. Bathroom clean.
Overall good value for our short stay in St John’s.

I arrived very late due to a cancelled flight but check in was quick and friendly. They also looked after my delayed luggage when it belatedly arrived the next day.
The room was clean and comfortable with a fridge and coffee maker but no microwave. The bathroom was good.
The breakfast was really good and great value too for hotel guests - service was a little slow and there was a wait time even if you booked a time slot the day before.
One of the two elevators was out of action so there was...
