Beautiful views, luxury experience

Posted 23-Aug-2017
Pros: Luxurious, wonderful breakfast buffet and cream tea, good sized pool for swimming, loved the spa pool.
Cons: Disabled access to the pool and spa facilities - you have to go down a flight of stairs and then up another one.
Location: Great location in St Hellier - easy walking distance to town, views across the bay to Elizabeth Castle - which you can walk to when the tide is out.
Fantastic staff, great facilities, a real luxury feel, beautiful views. Good base for exploring the island using the excellent bus service, with a stop right outside the hotel.

Very friendly hotel staff nothing is too much trouble for them. Food in the hotel is excellent. Position directly opposite the beach in St Hellier is fantastic and only a 5 minute walk into the town centre.

Great hotel spectacular views

Posted 22-Aug-2017
What an amazing place to relax unwind and take in the whole island, fantastic public transport used it the whole week, never seen such clean buses and polite helpful drivers. Don't book £30 transfer pick up, the bus will take you anywhere on the island for £2.00 just make sure you know where to stop. An absolute MUST is the island tour booked on Tantivy tours and Doug the Greek made the day amazing knowledge

Good hotel on the esplanade

Posted 21-Aug-2017
The hotel is nice with a nice bar and is comfortable. Rooms at the back have frosted glass in the windows which is a bit disconcerting. However our room was large with a large bathroom. The pool is a reasonable size and is clean.

Excellent Hotel, excellent location

Posted 19-Aug-2017
Pros: The staff really make the hotel. They really can't do enough for you. The location of the hotel is great for getting around the island.
Location: Excellent location. Short walk into St Helier. Bikes to hire and the le petite train are outside the hotel on the promenade.plus St Elizabeth castle.
We had a long weekend at this hotel and managed to get tickets for the Battle of the Flowers. An excellent evening, even though the weather wasn't kind to us. The hotel is lovely and is made by the wonderful staff. Ignore the fact that it is on the side of a busy road because we never noticed it. It's a great location for exploring the island with plenty on offer. We ate at the Tassilli Restaurant on our first night. A wonderful gastronomical experience. The taster menus are wonderful and well worth treating yourself. The hotel spa is lovely, a bit busy on the weekends so if you fancy a treatment book early. We had a lovely relaxing break. We will return to Jersy and this hotel.

Great location, great staff

Posted 13-Aug-2017
The Grand is in a prominent position overlooking the bay towards Elizabeth castle and we had a 3rd floor room with that view. It's a 5 minute walk into the centre of St Helier or to the bus station with its excellent service - you really don't need a hire car. The rooms and public areas are very nicely decorated and the gym and spa area ave great facilities. All the staff are very friendly and courteous and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast (included in the room rate) was superb with everything you could want, including items off the menu. We had a great stay and a lovely stay in Jersey and would definitely stay at the Grand next time we visit.

Grand hotel

Posted 11-Aug-2017
Pros: Friendly.
Cons: Breakfast dining room was a bit dark, but the food was excellent.
Location: Great location over looking Elizabeth Castle and just a short walk into town centre. Cineworld and Splash park also within walking distance.
Great location for exploring St Helier. Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Had to ask to have the room vacuumed as it was only done on a weekly basis, when really think the cleaning staff should have noticed it needed doing. Car parking also an issue as space are limited and very tight. Spa facilities and pool were great.
