The stay overall was good. Great location to the pools and a large patio were definite pluses, as was the check in/check out process. I do have a few criticisms though. The rental on the surface seemed clean, but definitely needs some attention. I was sitting on the floor with my 4 year old playing and could smell a musty/moldy smell coming from the carpets. Carpets need a good deep cleaning or need to be replaced. This smell was also recognized by others with me when the AC would kick on. Dishes were all dirty and needed to be re washed before we used them. In fact the first fork I pulled from the drawer had what looked like nasty, hardened food on it. The rest of the dishes were visibly dirty. Everything in the rental felt surface cleaned, but hasn't been deep cleaned in a while or at least hasn't been cleaned very well. The towels were old and worn, we put them in the wash just so we knew they had been recently washed. When you turn on the water to take a shower or bath there is a very loud high pitched sound that comes from the water heater, I called the property manager and he said as long as it's not leaking it should be fine. Overall this unit, although has nice decor could use some updates and some deep cleaning. Lastly, we had to contact the property manager with a possible issue with our booking and when he spoke to my wife he seemed very irritated and told her the office was closed and to have her email him and he would deal with her the next day. The next day she emailed him and subsequently emailed 3 times with no responses. This being said, I called him during our stay about the water heater noise and he was perfectly pleasant so maybe we caught him at a bad time the first call. All this being said, I stayed in a different unit last year and it was awesome. Recently renovated and very clean. I gave that a 5 star rating. With this unit I wouldn't give it more than 3 stars and its only that high because of the location of the unit and the ease of booking and check in/check out process.
