Welcome to “Vintage” Florida! We are just off the beaten path, so you may hear activity early in the morning to late at night….It is a vibrant town! Our blue home is next to a vacant business with access to parking behind the home as well as the front. We are conveniently located next to US -1 (which is a busy road; apologies for disturbance ) easy on street parking or behind home. While we are sharing the property with other guests, it is important that guests respect each other. House rules are enforced! The "Gem" is a king bedroom situated in a multi-family house that has a shared garden with seating and tables for guests to enjoy an outdoor experience. The property has a total of five units with private entrances and is conveniently located next to busy US-1. The location is a few blocks away from the best uptown restaurants and shops, and within walking distance to downtown historical sites. It's a 10-minute walk to the fort and 15 minutes to St. George S. Free street parking is available in front and 40-amp EV charging in the back and extra spaces. The beach is only a 10-minute drive away. •Walking is best, however bike, scooters, three wheelers rentals are available. Touristy town with trollies just a few blocks away or call a pedi-cab to pick you up at the front of the property! •Bikes are available for only guests staying on the property. Me'Lieu Property management is not liable for injuries when you ride off the property. Please inspect bicycles before riding. Home is attractive with private parking, a mini fridge, and private courtyards. The room was adequate size and the bed was comfortable. The host was very responsive and communicated well. However, the property has aged since the pictures were taken. The bathroom needs a deep cleaning of the walls, grout and shower tile to clear the mildew/mold accumulated in the wet areas. I shared these concerns with the host upon check-out, but this one time I didn’t receive any response. The room was the perfect size for me and my wife for a long weekend stay. However the bed was not comfortable, the middle sagged quite a bit making us slouch in the middle of the night and was very loud when you moved around and made it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep. The listing clearly stated that there was an EV charging station on site. We had planned on that, and when we got there, there was only an outlet to connect your own EV charger. The host did not seem to even know what her listing said, she asked me to send her a screenshot of where I saw that in the listing. She did nothing to compensate us in any way for the inconvenience, other than tell us to go to the outlet mall to charge our car. We chose this particular property because it said there was an EV charging station. In addition, the property was not very clean, the bathroom needs a good scrub down and the baseboards were pretty dirty. The outside area has a bunch of café lights, and most of them were burned out. Walking distance to historic area. Room description is very accurate. Check in was a breeze. The owner sends very descriptive check in and check out instructions. The main criticism we had was that when we pulled back the bedding, we found several black hairs on the sheets which lead us to believe the sheets had not been changed since the previous occupant.
