"The Postcard is an excellent hotel for a relaxing holiday. It is literally on a lagoon with the water touching the property.
The foliage has been maintained very well to give the property a serene and thick green cover, which adds to the calm.
The best part of the property of course are the people. Bharatvir and Ajith run the hotel very well with all staff out of sight but any food or service is available within a shout away.

"It's a well-located about 10 minutes walk from Galle Fort and less than 5 minutes walk from the railway station. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with good air-con and a fridge. The breakfast is good and the staff are helpful. The pool is also nice. The only downside is that the wi-fi was strong some of the time, but very patchy and slow at other times. "The place was beautiful design. Thats what I want in hotels. The staff were lovely. Amaan, Viraj and Nethmi were wonderful. This place is an oasis off the busy city street down to the Fort. If you want to stay away from the touristy Fort area on the coast, with a private beach, this place is for you. The only feedback I have for them is be clear about restaurant times. It said on menu in room 6p. I went down 6.15 and was told my meal would take 1 to 1.5 hours. This won't work for families with children. It is a beautiful new hotel but if they want to be one of the best, this is important to be organised & have good communication. "

"A wonderful 3 night stay in the family suite with two double beds. Service from all the hotel staff was wonderful from the moment we arrived, and they went above and beyond from giving us a takeaway breakfast on our last day when we left early, as well as helping with our hired tuktuk! Hotel is further out of Galle Fort (about a 10min tuktuk drive/25 min walk), but setting of buildings onsite is lovely, centred around the main pool and communal outside area. There is a mosque nearby so you can hear the call to prayer, but didn't disturb us."

"I rented an Airbnb in unawatuna which ended up turning in an awful experience. I had to find a new place last minute and I was really happy when I arrived to snooze. It’s clean, the boss is a respectful and kind person who is available to help guests when in need, the room was spacious with ac and hot water. Ended up paying half of what I paid for the Airbnb nightmare. I extended another night at snooze. I definitely recommend it specifically if you’re a woman traveling alone as I am. "
