"Clean property, amazingly friendly staff (especially Matilda). Loved the ambience, the quality of the food and wines. Only very minor quibble was we were in the eaves which did not give us a lot of headroom when getting into bed. Loved this place and would highly recommend it and would like to return in the future. "Room bedding was excellent towels were also good bedroom was dusty and cobwebs behind the bathroom door I don’t think it had been cleaned for a while. Parking was very good"

"The code for the wasn’t sent to me, but a phone call fixed that. There are no staff so everything is done by phone or message. Car park is nearby and reasonable. The room was fine with a good shower although it smelt as if someone had been smoking on the landing (not the room) Breakfast is very basic, toast, yoghurt Nescafé and cereals. But that was ok. It’s fine for two nights but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay for a lot longer. Good value overall if basic. "

"We only stayed for one night, and upon arrival we discovered that there are some substantial building works adjacent to the hotel. This means that the hotel car park is limited to even fewer spaces. Upon arrive at the hotel we had to wait around 10 minutes for someone to check us in. Our room was on the first floor facing the buidling works. Please note that there is no lift in the hotel that we found, so this may impact you if you have mobility problems. It was a warm day, and the room was a lot warmer and even with the window open there was no way to cool the room down, no A/C or fan in the room. The room was small and somewhat cramped and the furniture had seen better days and needed to be replaced in all honesty. The bathroom was modern and clean and did have some nice smellies in there, however we discovered that there was a major leak under the sink, and this meant water flooded into the drawer in the unit and then onto the floor, we think that had been this way for a while. Sleep was erratic as we had to leave the window open to keep us cooler, but the noise late at night from the people leaving the night club down the road was so bad. I know the hotel can't be to blame for this but it did impact our sleep and therefore our stay. We did use the hotel restaurant and the food was good, but service was slow and we wait around 35 minutes for our main course. Would we stay again - probably not. Well not unless it had a good makeover."
