Villa Oras - Garden and pool

"Villa Oras is located at the end of a small row of villas behind an electric gate. The property has spacious rooms and a large private pool. The bedrooms are very comfortable with excelent beds. Overall there were several small problems with the property that made it a dissapointment. There was no hot water in one of the showers, the sink plug release was broken. One of the showers had a door that didn't close properly leading to water on the floor. The shower heads needed descaling with water flow restricted due to the limescale. We were at the villa for two weeks and during this time the pool was not cleaned. Due to ash from Etna there was a layer of dust in the pool floor.Whilst thease are only minor points it was a dissapointment considiring the villa is marketed as "Wonderful newly built villa". Despite the minor problems we would recomend a stay here. The location is ideal for visiting the attractions and beaches along the coast."

"the view of mount Etna was awesome, as with most beach homes when you check in; the house smells musty. Once you turn on the airconditioning, that fades quickly. We had some small issues getting thehot water to flow but our hosts got it fixed that afternoon. It's not far from Taormina or Catania."

Among other things, Vincenzo arranged a driver for a day trip (Andrea, who was great) and at the end of our stay he gave us a ride to the train station. We loved the communal kitchen. "We had a lovely week’s stay at Le Decime. Our hosts Fabio and Georgia were wonderful and are doing a great job renovating the historic property. They were really welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us, sorting out any minor issues we had and also providing lots of advice and recommendations for local activities. The room was very clean and comfortable and the new outdoor pool is great with a spectacular view of Mount Etna. Would highly recommend a visit!"
