No Cleaning Fee - Condo With Waterfront Pool/Beach

Visit the most adorable seaside village! Southport, with it's picturesque waterfront, fantastic restaurants, and adorable shops, has something for everyone. When you feel like staying closer to home, the pool will be calling your name for soaking in the sun while watching the ships sail by, and your private balcony is the perfect spot to sip a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise over the water.

Things to know:

Built in 2021, this condo is a studio with a full kitchen (excluding an oven, but there is a countertop toaster oven), granite countertop desk space for working, dining table with seating for two, two queen beds and a full bathroom with walk-in glass shower. There is also an east facing balcony with two chairs and a table, perfect to watch the morning sunrise. Air conditioning and heat provided is by an in-wall mini-split style unit. The property is right on the Cape Fear river with a resort beach, pool and patio all waterfront. It is located one half-mile to downtown, so it is a great location if you want to walk to dinner and the amazing shops and not worry about parking.

All guests will have access to the entire condominium property including beach, pool, patio and elevators. The association also puts on regularly scheduled events and guests are welcome to attend all events on the property.

Every Thursday night from late spring to early fall there are food trucks and live music scheduled on the condo patio by the pool and beach!

Please also note, while the property does have a beach, the beach is actually off of the Cape Fear River, not the Atlantic Ocean. You are welcome to swim in the water, just be mindful it can be quite rocky at times and won't be your typical ocean/beach experience. Also, there is a “beware of alligator” sign on the beach. This was put there by the condo association as a precaution as there have been alligators spotted on the beaches in Southport previously. As with any NC beach, alligators are always possible in the area but we have never seen any ourselves during any of our previous visits nor have any of our guests ever let us know about any encounters.

Lastly, please be mindful that our HOA is very strict about no smoking (including vaping and e-cigarettes) within the condos or on the balcony of each condo. There are designated areas for smoking down stairs in the parking areas and by the pool/patio. Any violations in this rule will result in an additional $150 cleaning fee, as well as possible immediate cancellation of the remainder of the reservation.

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Easy walking distance to downtown and a short drive to the ferries. The pool was nice and there is a small beach and fishing pier as well. We will definitely be coming back to this property.

The place was immaculate, looks brand new. We didn't spend much time in the room and didn't eat there or use any of the kitchen amenities so can't comment on them specifically but it had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Anthony was extremely responsive. Pool area was very big and had a nice beach area and pier. I would definitely stay here again.

Great spot in Southport

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Southport area, and this condo made a perfect home base for the two of us. We enjoyed our walks to the waterfront and downtown, the proximity to Oak Island for beach walks, and convenience for the ferries to Fort Fisher and Bald Head Island. The hosts were very responsive and friendly in our communications.

Location to the town and it shops and restaurants was very convenient. Resources in the room met the needs of our stay. Elevator made it easy and convenient to get to the rooms. We enjoyed getting a glimpse of the small beach area when we walked to the back of the building.

Southport stay

There was beach access but it's not the "ocean" which should be clearer. The small private "beach" has at least 3 signs stating "Alligator Habitat' and I think that should be clearer as well if you know there will be children staying. The property was a nice motel room which and very clean. We did have to take the 20 min ride to Oak Island both days we were there for the beach and it was beautiful. Good space if you don't mind driving to the beach.

Always wanted to stay here!

Well I’ve always wanted to stay here but I could never make it work until this past week. When you enter the room you automatically feel at peace (or I did ). The place was clean and they provided everything you would need to get started. They so left little goodies! And this has to be the easiest check out ever! Great communication with the owners. The accommodation was great. Beds comfortable and clean. Bath linens provided. Elevator access was a nice feature for transporting luggage. Pool was a nice feature, considering how hot it was at the beach. After a while the beach gets to be too much with the heat and sun. Owners communicated frequently prior to arrival, so there were no surprises. We would stay there again due to its overall proximity to downtown Southport, cleanliness, amanities and affordability. We love the town of Southport but were just as happy to stay around the condo and enjoy the amenities. And the live music on Thursday evening was a nice touch. Just needed dish towels and place mats. And a mixing bowl or two! Full size fridge and 2 burner stove top along with the coffee maker and toaster oven we’re all we needed! Thanks for the coffee and the beach towels and little cooler too! Can’t say much about the dinky deck overlooking the parking lot. Good for drying swimsuits if the wind isn’t too fierce😛 Overall a sweet place for 2. Good work!

Condo in River Hotel Southport

This Unit within River Hotel Southport exceeded our expectations! From the initial Communication with Booking, Extending our Stay, to ease of Check-Out, everything went smoothly. The Unit itself is clean, modern, fully furnished and stocked abundantly! The location to Downtown Southport is ideal. This specific Hotel, although, I’d look at it more as a Resort, has a Private ‘Beach’ area, Pool, huge water-front deck, and lots of weekly Activities to offer. This Unit has a nice balcony with water views. The area is somewhat secluded and quiet. The Host had lots of added amenities to start your Stay such as coffee, snacks and treats that were a nice touch. Something that is rare- the TV offered local Cable, as well as, access to the Smart TV for all your favorite Apps! Would definitely recommend and visit again!

Lovely Room in Southport

The room is very clean and the decor is lovely. It is outfitted with all you may need and the owners are very accommodating and helpful. The beds are amazing! I don't think I've stayed on a more comfortable bed. The community areas are very nice and access to the private beach is easy. Being just down the road from the heart of Southport made our short stay worth it. The restaurants and shops were plenty for us to do and the views from the public park were phenomenal.The reason I am giving our stay 4 stars instead of 5 is because the elevator was not working (we needed that for my Mom), but our host did try to accommodate us when he learned about the broken elevator. He offered us another room in the same complex, but we chose not to move for other reasons outside of our control. We also had issues getting into the room the second day due to a malfunction with the digital door lock. Luckily, there was a backup key, but we had issues locking the door with it when we left. The humidity was high outside and the air conditioner was cooling, but it had trouble keeping the humidity out of the room. Outside of those issues, we had a great stay.
